I made the mistake of reading YouTube comments...apparently it's a travesty that Derrick Rose didn't make it over Mids, Lowry, Simmons, etc.

Wow, some good company there.

These are the only players who have ever had a 50/40/90 season while averaging at least 20 points per game: Stephen Curry, Larry Bird, Kevin Durant and Dirk Nowitzki.
Here are Middleton’s numbers so far this season: 20.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 3.9 assists in 28.8 minutes per game on 50.3 percent shooting from the field, 43.2 percent shooting from three-point range, and 90.6 percent shooting from the foul line.

Bledsoe was more deserving of it last season so in way to respect both they now have 1 each in my person record book.

This year he's an actual solid All-Star. For now.
Hilarious how terrible youve gotten
Yeah. When the facts change, it’s okay to change your opinion. I have.
He’s playing fantastic ball this season. Period.

Re: All Star Khris Middleton Thread
I had Khris slightly ahead of Klay in the spring of 2016, mainly because I thought Klay's team was making him a look a little better than he actually was. Until now, it hadn't been close since Khris tore his hamstring, but he's back in the ballpark for sure.
I don't really see any need to call out Khris haters though. If anything, the contrast between this Khris and what we saw the last 3 years should make it that much more obvious that the criticism was warranted, and that Khris could and should play much better with more consistent effort and engagement. Don't know what the explanation is for sure, but my theory is that playing over the summer helped him stay in shape and that getting so close to a title lit a bit of a fire under his ass.

Re: All Star Khris Middleton Thread
congrats to khris,he definitely deserves it! He's turned a lot of doubters like me into believers. I think Bud allowing him to take midrange shots has been a big key and imo they need to find more ways to get him touches where he's (his moniker) Kash money

I promise I'm not saying this just because I was on that other side with Khris, but I really think this is great clarity on the situation from the pro-Khris side. Because it's recognizing how much he's elevated his game and, as you said, we don't know for sure what the explanation is. Maybe your theory is correct, maybe it's less minutes, maybe it's no Brogdon as some have suggested, and maybe it's a combination of them all.
Whatever it is, I hope Khris knows, and that the coaches know. Because they should bottle it.

Re: All Star Khris Middleton Thread
This season didn't come out of nowhere. This is the Middleton we knew he could be. Part of the reason some of us wanted to keep Middleton is because he has flashed this ability in the past but it was maddeningly unsustained. Since Middleton came to the Bucks he was a consistent 40% three point shooter. He's 12th in the NBA in RPM this season which is fantastic, but he finished the 2015 season 10th in RPM and he finished the 2016 season 20th. When he returned from his devastating injury in 2017, he immediately lit the league up with a 17 game stretch where he shot .503 FG%, .491 3P%, .575 eFG%, and .634 TS% (all better numbers than he's posting this season) before he seemingly ran out of gas at the end of the season and into the playoffs. In 2018, he became the best mid range shooter in the league but his three point shooting inexplicably plummeted. Last season, he had to adjust to a new system which made him change the way he played and took away from his elite mid range game. What we're seeing now is Middleton with a career high usage doing all the things he has shown he could do in the past. Hopefully he can keep it up.

Re: All Star Khris Middleton Thread
His earnings with the Bucks, with the average after 6 years (9.8 M).
I think he deserves an average between 17 and 20 M. The last year is a bonus for 11 years of loyal service.
His salary this year is 18th in the league. First time it's higher than where he ranks as a player (25-30). Other years it was much lower (except for 15/16).
In this way I think his deal is fair.
With Bled he could be the Manu and Parker next to TD. And DDV arriving as the new Kawhi...?
