This sounds awesome! I'll have to read up on the comic.

Finally got around to the most recent episode of Dexter. I'm totally digging it now. Super excited for each episode as the story is really developing and has the feeling of the old one.

Yellowjackets renewed for a second season, whoop whoop.

Pilot is on Youtube. Sales pitch is what if Lost but with 90s nostalgia and also they eat each other.

Took me a long time, but finally really burning through Succession. Turns out, it's a good show.

It finally made me realize, though, that Yellowstone is Sons of Anarchy and Succession combined, with some country music and horse stoppin' sprinkled in. And gorgeous Montana (they mostly film in Colorado) backdrops.

New MacGruber came out today, if you liked the movie you'll love this. It's classic MacGruber.

Lol so after I watched the first season of Yellowstone I was like 'this is a ranch version of SoA' (both in a good and bad way). Well turns out it's the same creator lol

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Seems counterintuitive, but no. He does spend a large amount of time basically naked though, done very tastefully though of course.

Kurt Sutter created SOA not Sheridan. Sheridan acted in it (as Deputy Hale) but he had nothing to do with the creation or writing.

Taylor Sheridan was an actor on SoA, Kurt Sutter created it.

I don't care if it was pure fan service, I lapped it all up. No Way Home was perfect.

No Way Home was in a different league than the first two Marvel Spider-man movies. Really looking forward to see where they go from here.

Big issue for me coming out of the theater was:
Spoiler:
So you're just not going to tell the other Spider-men that nobody is going to know who the f*ck they are when they get back to their universes?
F*** Marc Davis, f*** Tim Donaghy and f*** David Stern as a staff, record label and as a mothaf**kin crew......and if you wanna be down with Stern then F*** YOU TOO!!! Stu Jackson f*** you too.....all you mothaf**kas F*** YOU TOO!!!!

I can’t believe people are enjoying that Spider Man thing. Creativity and originality is dead in film. Everything is nostalgia and formulaic. I thought it was so bad that I can’t even describe how superfluous it was.

And btw, no reason to ever feel like there is any kind of stakes in these marvel movies because..

Spider Man was one of the best Marvel Movies ever and maybe one of the best movies ever

I can't understand not enjoying the hell out of it.

Spoiler:
I do wonder how it would hit if you weren't familiar with the movies that came before. I think it's still a good super hero movie, but this was obviously a movie for fans who had seen what came before.

That said, I wouldn't even say I really liked most of the films in the series. I recently watched Spider-man 2 and that one really doesn't hold up anymore. Obviously 3 was terrible. I've only seen random scenes of the Amazing Spider-Man series that might equal the whole two movies if pieced together. I think Tom Holland is a great Spider-man, but I didn't love either of the first two movies at all. Some great moments, but not great movies.

But No Way Home gives you an avalanche of fan service from all those movies to the point where I can't even believe what I'm watching. The story rules and it all somehow actually works. The beats hit perfectly.

I can't wait to see it again.

Appreciate the spoilers...forgot last night was the night for Spider-Man. I have tickets for the 21st. I could tell listening to a Hawkeye podcast that the hosts that had already seen Spider-Man early were positively giddy to be able to discuss it openly soon.

I've never seen any of the Matrix movies. Given the excitement over the new one I assume the first 3 are decent?

I see it premiered in Canada last night so there will be spoilers all over. And it will be on HBO Max (the last same day release on Max)
