My guess is one of two things going on here:

1. He's just completely making this up because his sources are generally terrible.
2. This is being greatly exaggerated. Front office asked Giannis if he's okay with the move and he said something along the lines of "If you guys think that's the best move for us, sure." and that got leaked out as "GIANNIS SUPPORTS IT!!!"

Giannis could also be as tired of Khris's unavailability as the rest of us and he's all about being win-now.

Nah, I think it's #2. That was exactly what I thought when I heard Giannis supported it.

Yeah, a 2nd is too much for Martin. Yuck.

Lol come on bro. I’m puzzled myself but comparing this to the Ray Allen trade is just your frustrations getting the best of you right now. It’s not even in the same stratosphere as bad as that was.

If there is no other move after this and Giannis leaves because of it then it will be the worst trade ever!
Now I will wait to see what happens next because this can’t be it.

Yeah I’ll agree with you there 100%. I’m expecting this move was done a day early because there’s more to come now after unfreezing everything. I’ll reserve my overall judgement until then too.

We don’t really have assets after this. Is the 2031 tradeable? If it is, it is now less value. AJJ asset is gone. Brook and Portis aren’t likely strong assets. Minus Dame and Giannis, the rest of the roster is a negative asset.

Maybe we flip Portis, but we won’t end up with anything satisfying.

Might not be about the second apron. Might be about dumping Pat’s $9.4M next season and turning his spot into a good defender in Martin. I’d do Pat plus one or two seconds for Martin just to have another defender to throw out there.

"With milwaukee in town, a deal feels likely today...." Its not like a CEO is flying to NY to sign some papers. The trade deadline is tomorrow and where ever the Bucks physically are doesn't matter and the deadline is tomorrow. What a weird sentence to throw in. Like he could just mean a deal is likely and happens to occur when the Bucks are in town, but that isnt how I read it.

No, but when you have a better player on the roster already that can shoot (GTJ) and guards like Green and AJax who are at worst comparable, why trade for a sub par 3 point shooter?

Khruka Middlecic?

So now we are speculating that giannis hates khris cuz khris didn't feel ready to come back from injury?

Dame being a drunk was a wild take. this is just as bonkers.

I think RS meant overall resentment from the franchise in general. What’s so hard to believe about that? He was cleared to play by the medical staff well before he actually played and he’s looked like a dead man walking most of his time on the floor this year. Frustration is a “bonkers” take? Seems plausible to me.

Probably to improve our defense and rebounding at the wing position I would guess.

I'm done with Horst. Bucks need new blood in the front office if they have any hope of winning another championship with Giannis.

The 2031 pick is tradeable and this offseason the 2032 pick is tradeable if the 2031 pick isn’t traded yet.

Brook is an expiring if they want to move him. That has value along with his size. Portis has value.

I’d be fine if they just flip Portis for a switchable big.

What would the roster look like post-trade? Worth the thought experiment if only to set a benchmark, where reality begins/ends. What if no one wants to work a trade, too costly. What if we don't, no one's paying.

Their wing defense was so bad in that Blazers game that Deni looked like prime Jordan. They legit had no answer for him.

Charlotte has a top 10 defense when Cody Martin is on the floor :reporter:

Maybe Johnson becomes a good or great NBA player. None of us know about that.

But we are all 100% certain that his NBA timeliness does not align with that of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard.

Every significant move the Bucks make needs to be about the Giannis Antetokounmpo Bucks.

I think Kuzma was the right type of player to trade for, unfortunately he's a really **** version of that type of player.

Well, trading Pat for Martin clears an extra 1.3M, and that could be very useful when trying to fill out the roster if we make a big move. However, it does limit the size of the contract we can take in. I think that would kill a Jimmy/KD move.

Kuzma is trash. Middleton had to be traded so I guess it’s the best we can do. Will wait for future trades but idk how the team can compete with this roster as currently constructed.
