Don't see TOR winning 50 next year, they lost 2 starters and haven't replaced them with anything.

Gasol will want out and I'm guessing Masai accommodates him. Raptors gonna be bad next year

Raps last year had a higher winning percentage in games when when Kawhi didn’t play (17-5, although 13 wins against non playoff teams). Not relevant for playoffs, but they were a good team without him. And Green didn’t do much in the regular season.

They return Lowry, VanVleet, Siakam, Ibaka, OG, etc and have Gasol for a full season.

Gasol would obviously eat up more cap space than Robin but he and Brook would be quite the wall with Giannis at the 3.

Doesn't mean anything when a good number of teams got far better than they were last season, including the Lakers, Clippers and other teams in the west. As you said 13 of those were against non-playoff teams. They aren't going to have the benefit of playing 80% of their games against non playoff teams.

I mean... Green shot .450 from 3 on over 5 attempts per game. Its more than nothing.

Bucks have already been bet down to 3.75 at one sportsbook

Raptors could have a swan song playoff run before letting their vets walk for nothing.

Or they callously rebuild considering Kawhi killed any chance of repeating.

One season of tanking could get a long term partner next to Siakam if they go that route. But definitely hard to break up what was a championship team.

PHL is absolutely the team to watch now in the East as a Bucks fan. We both are really good.

ETA: Big gap in those championship odds after 6ers and Bucks. Indy next at 40-1. This is mostly a two team race now in the East.

imo Green was a huge part of their RS success, he's a big loss for them.

I don't know what it says about Cousins that he's still out there after this free agent feeding frenzy, but it can't be good.

Why would Gasol want out? I don't necessarily see that being true.

Lowe:

They will surely investigate trades for Lowry, Ibaka, and Gasol. It's unclear whether those guys on expiring deals will net meaningful assets. Ujiri will try. He does not like losing players for nothing. He doesn't have to rush.

But now they have Fred VV, who made the leap here. I don’t see him regressing.

The Green thing is a loss, I just don’t see it as make or break for them winning 50 games in the regular season.

I think it makes sense for both parties to move him to a contender. Gasol is at the point in his career where he would probably prefer to not play on middling teams

Everyone keeps saying how OKC got a haul (and they did) but how do they not also get shamet and Harrell? I don’t see how the clips turn that down.
