Yeah it sure looks like all this "teams will be spending less to recoup lost revenue" talk was more just a failed ploy by front office execs to try and drive down the cost of free agents this offseason. Marcus Morris, Gordon Hayward, Bertans, Crowder, Joe Harris. Some of these deals are 2016-level insane.

Most of the tenured GMs just can’t help themselves, like kids in a candy store. The owners must not be too concerned about any lost or declining revenue during an economic recovery. The excitement of the f/a window gets em every time.

The players agreeing to raise the escrow amount to 18% factored in too. The actual payroll amounts are less than the cap sheet.

When you have a CBA with a rev split model the owners never really lose. Some will have higher operating costs than normal but for like 90% of the owners they are so wealthy it really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

No clue what NOLA is doing with this Adams situation. He’s just not that good anymore, poor fit next to their core, and they gave up picks for him and overpaid him on an extension. So bad

I think he's way better than Favors at this point. They should have made a play for Brook but I like Adams for them.

I dunno, feels like Adams and Zion will get in each others’ way.

Wait, what? He literally just turned 26.

Not arguing the rest, but you lost me on this one. Do we have any reason to belive he's actually on a decline? I think it's probable he could actually improve on a new team.

Kings are making the Hawks wait until the last minute on the Bogdan offer sheet. Assuming their intention was not to pay Bogdan and they valued Donte they are probably less than pleased at how all this worked out too.

They could be using the time to try find a Buddy or Barnes trade.

The best half time show back in the day. That’s terrible.

I’ve probably seen the “quick change” act 8-9 times in person. Every time, I thought to myself, this is going to be corny and carnivalish and lame. Obviously they are wearing trick clothes.

And EVERY time, I was genuinely entertained and perplexed as to how they did what they did.

Once or twice, in the privacy of my own home, I have tried to get in or out of pants as quickly as they do. It has not gone well for me.

RIP to a great entertainer.

Bucks vs Hawks needs to be an opening night national tv game.

Edit:
G1 MIL v ATL
G2 BKN v LAL

Brooklyn would be intriguing as the biggest unknown. If they want two western conference teams, go Dallas.
