Super lucky to have Gianni as a living legend in the NBA. He is a treasure.

Just finished it, too. There were some childhood/teenage year and early career anecdotes that were interesting and I hadn't heard before, but a lot of it seemed like a consolidation of previously reported news.

She also over-quoted her boss, Bill Simmons, who's not the NBA expert I'd want to hear from in this kind of book. The book also could've use a fact/flow checker. Examples: She said Giannis put on 30 pounds of muscle over a few months his rookie year, which I'm pretty sure didn't happen. She also had MCW joining the Bucks before the Brandon Knight trade. There were a few others I've since forgotten.

Definitely still worth the read, purely because it's Giannis, but a pretty average biography in my opinion. Maybe a non-Bucks fan would enjoy it more since most of the anecdotes would be new to them.

I’m more leery of what Disney is going to do with a film about his life story.
"Wes, Hill, Ibaka, Allen, Nwora, Brook, Pat, Ingles, Khris are all slow-mo, injury prone ... a sandcastle waiting for playoff wave to get wrecked. A castle with no long-range archers... is destined to fall. That is all I have to say."-- FOTIS

If he & Giannis are like that, then why isn't Alex at the Mavs camp or doing workouts like Monta, IT & Lance?

I see Drake is referencing Giannis in a new song. That's some hysterical sh-t.

Giannis and drake seem to be cool, they actually collaborated on some clothing for the album. I 100% doubt there’s anything between them from the sideline stuff if that’s what you mean by hysterical.

Eh. He still shouldn't have been on the court like he was in that series.

Ugh, keep Giannis' name out of that clown's mouth and away from his garbage trap music. Drake is the biggest bandwagon cheerleader in all of NBA fandom, which is what made it so hilarious and pathetic when all the Toronto fans would simp out for his courtside antics and consider him one of their own. But Canadians aren't known to be the brightest bunch I guess...

Still early in the Mirin Fader Giannis bio, and I'm lazily listening in the car instead of reading it on the page, but I'm really enjoying it. She overplays the "Coming to America" aspects a lot, but they're still entertaining.

And while details like Giannis taking a limo to Walmart are endearing to those of us who have watched his growth here, I dread how they will play in a Disney movie.

I, for one, am looking forward to Disney telling the story of a humble Athenian who rockets to stardom thanks to an enchanted gyro.

Was listening to some Locked on Suns pods from the past month. They have obvious regret over missing that opportunity to win a title, but do seem resigned to the fact Giannis turned into Superman and simply beat them. Nothing the Suns could really do to stop that freight train.

It's sort of how I felt after the 2019 Toronto series when Kawhi basically made every key bucket possible in those final four games TOR won.

Calling Drake's music trap music is insulting to trap artists.

Great observation. I remember watching those Kawhi games and deep down knowing he wasn't going to lose. Can only imagine Sun's fans felt the same, because when I was watching I knew deep down, Giannis was not going to lose.

I'm anticipating a standard Marvel origin story ending with battling and defeating a CGI army or evil equivalent of himself some hybrid of Durant, CP3 and Ayton I suppose.
