I can't believe you guys are lumping together matrix 2 with 3.No way you can call it terrible. It's a lot closer to the 1st one than the third. The third one...yeah it's bad.

Anyone seen the second season of Witcher?Thoughts?

Our actual management posted a lineup with the starting 2 guard being Tony Snell.

The new Spider-Man was great. Not my favorite Spider-Man movie but it's definitely up there. Some theorizing for the future/thoughts:

Spoiler:
Kinda bummed they seem to be setting Ned up to go bad. I know it happens in the comics but their friendship has been so sweet and enduring through these films; I hope they surprise and have Ned end up being a hero instead.

Curious to see what becomes of Venom in MCU; I think I vaguely remember Flash turning into Venom from what I read while I was playing the Spider-Man PS4 game so could be that.

Maybe it was nothing, but Dr. Strange holding his stomach at one point early in the movie made me think that it was the What If version of him rather than the regular one. What If version of him appears in the trailer at the end, so perhaps we'll find out in that movie.

I was kinda expecting a glimpse of Miles Morales walking around/working at FEAST at some point but he's obviously coming at some point.

I'm just absolutely over the moon that Charlie Cox is back as Daredevil. Curious to see if anyone else comes over from the Netflix MCU.

Potential Spoiler re: Hawkeye
Spoiler:
There's definitely some references between the Hawkeye show and the Spider-Man movie and they appear to be happening at basically the same point in time, so I'm curious if anything pops up in the Hawkeye finale to further that connection.

I thought 2 was fine. 3 was bad.

I enjoyed the first two episodes of 1883 for the most part. It takes time to get a new story going.

And Taylor Sheridan: As you proceed with this one please don't ever feel the need to give us the back story on Jimmy's family. We get WAY too much of him in the original and no one cares.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Wait, who didn't enjoy the Jimmy sex scene this week?

In seriousness, the long game story must involve him in someway for them to spend so much time on him. Like he's gonna come back to yellowstone and save the day or be a key to something later on. that or he has dirt on the writers/creators, is related to him, or something like that. What also makes it a frustrating aspect is Jimmy might be the worst actor among the main cast on the show too
Resident Lillard truther since 2015.

Uh huh. I believe it.

Thanks for the warning.

Although the reviews both from critics and audiences are pretty good. I'm very torn on this.

I thought it was going to be much better, or much worse. It ended up being very average and forgettable.

I feel like the original Matrix relied on groundbreaking VFX which aren't so groundbreaking anymore.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

The first one is flat out great even without the VFX. The latter two definitely leaned on them to be anything better than bad.

I really relish the Tom scenes, and he had some incredible material this season. We've spent so much time with him, I had hopes he'd become more integral at some point, so the finale was really gratifying.

This is just an all-timer for me:

Seriously, I thought this season was great and

Spoiler:
that final scene with Tom was fantastic, my jaw dropped a little. It wasn't really a surprise that it was Tom, they gave him all the motivation in the world to turn on Shiv all season. But how it played out felt so savage and even a little unexpected, even though it was somewhat expected, if that makes sense. It's amazing how they can make these scenes that are just dialogue, no one is physically harmed in any way, with people that are bad and unrelatable, and they still feel so suspenseful and make you invested in he outcome. Best current show running for me.

Edit to ask:

Spoiler:
Did it seem weird to anyone that a dude as sharp as Logan didn't think of the legal loophole with the kids to block the move and he needed Tom to tell alert him of the play to renegotiate with his ex? You'd think him and his team would already be all over that, especially knowing his ex's new dude was just asking for a favor at the wedding.

I’m offering this up as the all time board example of a complaint about something that really doesn’t matter or have any consequence.

I think the Capital One commercial with John Travolta as Santa Claus (where he does the Pulp Fiction dance at the end) is pathetic. The original role is probably the only cool thing Travolta had done since his early 80’s peak. It might one day, even be remembered as the most artistically noteworthy thing he did in his post peak (after Grease and the disco movies) career. So you put on a santa suit and do the dance, for what, $400,000?

I don’t really care. It just sort of makes me feel bad for him.

I just got around to watching “Mare of Easttown.” I find it excellent on several levels. Totally on par with True Detective 1 and 3 in terms of writing, acting, and pacing. If you like one season crime dramas, check it out for sure.

Winslet can really act. In real life she is of course British and semi glamorous. On “Mare” she is as midwest frumpy as a woman can be.

For some reason this had my mind going to imagining Frances McDormand saying "For Pete's sake, draw my like one of your french girls!" in her Fargo accent.

Pretty good Curb finale. Lots Leon this season (a good thing IMO). Stockholm Tapping.
