9/6 - Baldur's Gate III

9/19 - Lies of P
9/19 - Mortal Kombat 1
10/12 - Assassin's Creed Mirage
10/13 - Lords of the Fallen
10/20 - Marvel's Spider-Man 2
10/24 - Cities: Skylines II
11/2 - Star Ocean: The Second Story R

Bolds are my no-doubt buys. HIGHLY likely to pick up BG3, Mortal Kombat 1, and Lords of the Fallen. Everything else I'll wait and see about reviews, but they all look good.

Starfield is definitely my most anticipated game at the moment.

Also excited for any Path of Exile 2 information at Exile-Con coming up.

It’s funny because I kind of think, for me personally, that the rest of the year is pretty weak. There’s a lot of games for a lot of people, but BG3 is the only must have and I purchased it in Early Access in 2020. I guess if there’s a miracle and FFXVI gets a PC port before the end of the year that’d be the only other thing that I’d consider a must.

Already bought BG3, will pick up Spider-Man 2 day 1. I'd also add CP2077: Phantom Liberty and Viking City Builder to my most anticipated list.

For me, it’s Spider-Man, Cyberpunk, and NBA 2K.

I’m keeping an eye on BG3 but it’s not the kind of game I would normally play.

All this cyberpunk excitement is going to lead me to buying the darn game. I still need to play the witcher, finish Hogwarts and got several other titles to play yet. Havent even started elden ring. I really haven’t played my ps5 much at all the last few months. Just busy and not doing much of any gaming, did pick up OOTP late last week shortly after the real life track and have been tinkering with some baseball sims but that’s not really gaming.

OW2 sucked and I'll fight anyone on it. Healing became a mess because the entire team of 5 just wants to go all out damage. Maps are average at best. New characters suck and balancing is off. They promise a PvE that will be updated frequently which never happened. And let me mention it one more time, THEY TOOK AWAY MY FAVORITE FPS BY NOT LETTING ME PLAY THE ORIGINAL.

Damn, you guys got me fired up this morning.

Ignoring the monetization stuff, OW2 in a vacuum is still an excellent game. I was skeptical about going to 5v5 and didn't like it at first, but it's fine. If the original game never existed, everybody would be over the moon about OW2. Sure, maybe it becomes a frantic DPS-fest at times, but that's better than sitting in a choke point behind two tanks. And I'm a support main (though lately, when I've been queuing in quickplay as "All Roles," I usually end up with tank, which is cool - I'm loving Orisa).

But of course, they screwed up with going all-in on PvE and then basically abandoning it and the new battle pass system/store is just awful. I totally understand the problem with loot boxes - I agree than they are a form of gambling and can be very predatory - but the new monetization is just terrible. I've never been a belligerent gamer who thinks companies "owe" us anything, but man, it's a slap in the face to loyal OW1 players.

I think the new characters are fine. Don't really like Junker Queen - don't find her fun to play and for some reason can't kill her when she's on the other team - but Kiriko (whose animated short is elite), Ramattra, and Sojourn are cool. Maps are totally fine except for Antarctica, but even at that, I don't care.

I told myself I wouldn't get hyped for Starfield. But my love of The Elder Scrolls and Fallout 3/4 is getting the best of me. I love these types of games and Todd Howard does a darn good job hyping it up. I'm willing to get excited knowing full well I could very well be disappointed but I don't care.

It's an okay game at this point. The game hasn't evolved at all, balancing was a mess, and the maps in OW2 are generally dog. The other end of the spectrum you still have to support blizzard which should be a no for everyone. They've done this since wow, ruined a once great game with terrible design decisions. Overwatch died when they cancelled the pve content they promised, Diablo is on life support after the season 1 patch. Blizzard is definitely going to ruin starcraft or whatever is the next ip they release. The company that once stood for quality and being for gamers is long gone. They are ruled by their activision overlords and are making sure to be on the cutting edge of modern monetization practices.

I would say generally OW2 pvp is in the best state it's ever been.

Once they changed up Orisa, I lost interest in OW. Only played a handful of hours on OW2.

I thought old Orisa was fun but the community generally hated her. The new one is fun as well, though. The old one would be incredibly weak in OW2.

I like both Orisas. This version is really strong and is my tank of choice.

Also, Microsoft is about to buy Blizzard, so hopefully getting it out of Activision's hands will be a good thing.

Seems like their thing is more hands off, which is probably still an upgrade if it means Kotick is out.

Sounds like Remnant 2 is great, which is good news considering the huge dearth of quality game releases this year.

This seriously looks **** awesome. There's no way I play in 2023, but excited to play it down the road.

Holy ****, even IGN is like "....yeah Diablo 4's patch is brutal" No need to watch, just think it's hilarious if even IGN is calling it out in dedicated videos.

gestures vaguely towards the last 10 years of microsoft first party games

I'm not so sure.
