Haven’t had a chance to dive into this album yet and I’m pretty unfamiliar with two of the band members, but Julien Baker is **** amazing so I will definitely get around to it.

Bubblin’ might be my favorite song of the year. It’s at least the most repeatable song of the year for me.

I caught Interpol here in Sydney with my family (normally it's just me and my son for gigs, but Paul Banks is enough to convince his mother to toddle along!) a few days ago. Hell of a show, the new garage-y album really had them rolling out a pretty rocking show in support- new songs fit in really well live.

I have a drum set in the basement, although I can't play it very well.

ETA: Opeth fan?

Yep. All-time favorite band. Tough to beat the stretch of MAYH, BWP, and SL. Lucky enough to see them and DT on the same bill once. You can really hear the influence they had on them if you listen to Repentance from Systematic Chaos. For DT I vacillate between Images & Words and Awake depending on which I heard last. I've got 25 years on the kit man. Have nearly everything from I&W to Train of Thought memorized.

I'm still processing both, but 2019 has already brought new Vampire Weekend and Foals music. And late-2018 brought new Broken Bells (which is EXCELLENT). All albums due this Spring. So, sonically, I'm happy again.

Pheobe Bridgers is awesome (and Lucy Dacus / all of boygenius). She just released an album with Connor Oberst that's pretty good on the first listen.

Most of her work so far is slower paced similar to Julien's stuff, but I had this song off her debut in my head for months. It's about her relationship with Ryan Adam's who helped spark her career but was also an **** to her by all accounts.

This is a better reflection of the rest of her album Stranger in the Alps

I discovered Phoebe Bridgers late last year, so I was a little behind. Love her album. Motion Sickness is indeed my favorite, but Smoke Signals and Scott Street are both excellent also.

I picked up the new Dandy Warhols album today and am giving it a run through right now. It's pretty groovy.

Nice! I have lost touch with modern releases a bit. I remember their '99 album Solitude, Dominance, Tragedy, was great.
Damn I feel old now :D
Interesting they are here on 4/4 for a Concert
