lol....
dont take the bait on those 3 and 5 year plans. my guess is is that after running firmly into the price ceiling of what Milwaukee fans are able to support, they know that prices wont go up much more than 6-8% anyway. unless im completely mistaken, it would take some kind of economic boom that just doesn't seem likely.
my season seats are almost double what i would pay in the same location if i were a t wolves fan. i almost bought a pair of those just for fun they were so cheap.
ill renew year to year until giannis isnt playing for us.

Agreed. I’m sticking year to year too. I just dont want to lock me into multiple years especially since its not a flat rate. But I’m happy they lowered next year. I was leaning towards not renewing and maybe I still should, but I think I will be back. If I go to the same amount next year, with similar sales, it’s definitely a benefit again for me.
Curious what the loyalty program will look like. Seems like they are going to go more the experiences and behind scenes stuff maybe. We’ll see.

Curious where the $1,000 packages are and assume that is 1 seat. I’m upper baseline and mine next year after decrease is still in $1,700+ range per seat. I’m in Row 2 but I struggle to believe the seats 8-10 rows behind me are 40% less. Maybe I guess.

Re: FISERV Forum Thread
A "season ticket package" could be a partial season. A half, third or quarter of the games. Would be easy to get the total cost down to $1,000 for a dozen or two dozen games, depending on location.
Teams love season ticket sales, and if they don't have a wait list, entry level packages give them a customer base to mine for upgrades.

Re: FISERV Forum Thread
From the JS
Going to an NBA game can be costly, even in a small market like Milwaukee.
According to a survey by California Casinos, which is owned by Catena Media US, Inc. in Las Vegas, the Milwaukee Bucks rank 10th in the NBA for most expensive game experience.
For one ticket, two beers, a hot dog and parking to watch the Bucks at Fiserv Forum, it costs, on average, $129.37. That's just behind the Sacramento Kings at $130.57 and ahead of the Miami Heat at $128.17.
Ticket prices can vary depending on the opponent. What it costs to see the Los Angeles Lakers or Boston Celtics in Milwaukee probably won't be the same as the last place Houston Rockets and Detroit Pistons.
The most expensive game experience belongs to the New York Knicks where fans pay, on average, $261.63 to watch a game at Madison Square Garden. The second most expensive game experience is the defending champion Golden State Warriors at $219.13 average.
The cheapest game experience goes to the Charlotte Hornets, where the average is $67.11.
The Bucks have been taking some steps to address ticket prices for their season ticket holders. Recently the organization announced some season ticket holders will see their ticket prices stay flat or decline slightly next year.
The Bucks declined to comment for this story.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

old skool wrote:This week's email on season ticket renewal mentions that they have adjusted prices for next season based on a multi-point evaluation of price/demand/utilization etc. My seats will be 2% cheaper in 2023-24, after an 18% increase this season. Always helpful for them to make a sale 9 months before the first game . I feel like low hanging fruit.
The complimentary League Pass benefit remains in effect.

Looks like the League Pass is not across the board. Just saw the benefit plan by tier and not sure what to think. Basically get a point for every dollar spent and get 2500 points at every milestone year (5, 10, 15, etc). There are 6 tiers of points and you get benefits based on whatever tier you fall into. So buying the benefits you want appears to be gone.

Re: FISERV Forum Thread
I guess the new benefits plan is essentially what I’m getting now with the overall price being 10% lower. I think in the past you got 1,000 points/year if renewed early. Now its just a flat 2,500 additional each 5 years to count towards your tier which breaks down to 500/year. I do get $50 vs $25 spending cash. No Pro Shop discount or League Pass is a bummer. It does looks like my tier has a Meet/Greets, annual gift, and a few other minor perks. I guess overall I’m happy the rate went went down so not going to complain too much. I do wish there was a little more compensation for loyalty. Realistically if the 2,500 compounds every 5 years (5 years is 2500, 10 years is 5000, etc), it would take me to be a 20 year member to get to the next tier. So still think my renewals will be contingent on what Giannis does on his next contract.

Re: FISERV Forum Thread
Welp, it's tax season. I dont know about any of you, but for some reason my ticketmaster account is split into two different groups 1. general ticketmaster stuff 2. bucks account. Each are using the same email and password, but i cannot access any of my bucks related ticket info by going to ticketmaster.com. I can only access this stuff by going to bucks.com. As a result, when i click the "get my 1099-k" button on ticketmaster.com, it says i did not exceed the threshold for sales in a year. But i certainly did, and i dont see anything in my bucks account that references any tax info.
So is this situation unique to just me? Or do you guys also have a "split" account? I know I did not turn a profit on ticket sales in 2022 so i'm very tempted to just say screw it and process the taxes without it. yolo. any information is helpful as ticketmaster's phone line is currently a mess.

Didn't they go back to the old limit (Like 20k?) Are you sure you sold that many?

Yup, they postponed it a year. Technically you are still suppose to report whether you meet the threshold or not but no 1009-k will go out if you are under. It's $20,000 and 200 transactions.
From the IRS website: The IRS is delaying lowering the threshold for Form 1099-K reporting by a year.

Yeah, the problem with the reporting/enforcement is I dont think its fair to the taxpayer. We don't have the ability to assign assign appropriate costs to the tickets and don't easily have all the fees and other costs available to show we didn't really make money or lessen the amount of 'income'. I usually go to the bad games and sell the good ones and probably netted out on costs at FMV. IRS only sees i sold GSW for $100 profit but completely ignores I bad $100 to go to the Charlotte game that would have sold for $10. Legally taxpayers need to report those sales/costs but morally I have no issue not reporting that 'income' if the person didn't actually come out ahead.

Re: FISERV Forum Thread
I heard all of that stuff was postponed so did not bother sending it in, actually don’t think I even got any documentation. I agree, it is kind of **** I have to claim profit but can’t deduct the 75% I lose on some week night games. Hopefully it keeps getting postponed.
I’m kind of coming around on the benefit package for next year. Looks like there will be 3-4 player type events which is cool in addition to some credits, gift, etc. If Im able to attend some events, that would be cool and likely worth it. I essentially broke even on sales/value of games attended vs paid amount this year so that is cool. I actually had a little better year than last season. Still have Pacers/Spurs game though that I have potential to eat.

Re: FISERV Forum Thread
So, I don't remember exactly, BUT wasn't there some acknowledgement by the commish or some suit in the NBA or one of the owners that MILWAUKEE will be able to put their hat in the ring for an all star weekend IF they built a new arena?
I know there's an issue with lack of hotel rooms, but wasn't there SOMETHING said about Milwaukee having a good chance to get all star weekend once they get a new arena built??
Am I remembering incorrectly?

2025 or beyond. In Indiana next year.

I think they got screwed by timing, a lot of new arenas and arenas in the midwest. Its kind of rough decade for 'cool' all star locations: Indianapolis, SLC, Chicago, Cleveland, and then you have MKE, Detroit, Boston, ready for AS games. IDK it might be tough to convince decision makers you don't have it in a LA/NYC/Bay Area/Miami for multiple years. Hell, as a player I would be kind of annoyed.
"New arenas that have not hosted the All-Star Game are Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, TD Garden in Boston, American Airlines Arena in Miami, Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis (set to host the 2024 game), American Airlines Center in Dallas (the venue did host the 2010 Rookie Challenge and All-Star Saturday), AT&T Center in San Antonio, FedExForum in Memphis, Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, and Chase Center in San Francisco."

Re: FISERV Forum Thread
I received two 1099s from TM. One for $1200 for Bucks tickets sold for games I could not attend. The other for a $300 refund of a pandemic concert scheduled rescheduled and eventually canceled.
I will just net out "expenses" to zero profit. I am sure that I can document tickets that I "gave away" that were not sold for a profit by my ticket resale empire.

But if you "gave away" them, I don't think they count if you gave them to friends/workers/online message board companions as that would probably be within an arm lengths tranfer and considered personal? If you gave them to charity, I think there are some other restrictions. IDK I think it is really hard to prove this stuff if actually audited.

Re: FISERV Forum Thread
For those who park on the street near the arena there is a proposal to increase the meter hours. Currently it's Monday through Friday 8-6. Saturday and Sunday free. The proposal is to extend it to 9 pm and also include Saturday. I believe most meters are 2 hours so you wouldn't be able to park for a game without risking a ticket (and Mke loves parking ticket revenue).
Businesses are opposed of course but the city's Public Safety Committee unanimously passed the proposal and now it goes to the full city council.
