Yes but it can not be traded until the moment we select the player

I agree. The Bucks have had poor local coverage for a while, but there's only so much local reporters can do when the team gives them nothing to work with. I can understand why that's frustrating as a fan. At least with Kohl we would hear some inner rumblings and then the Journal Sentinel would write up a favorable article about the Bucks in return. The current ownership group does not play ball with the media.

If you look at what we can trade, we actually have a lot of trade chips in the offseason.

2022 1st (after selecting a player for the other team)
DDV (sign and trade)
Nwora
Brook (assuming he comes back in the playoffs)
Allen

Depending on how DDV and Brook play, that is potentially 5 late firsts of value...

If it were up to me, I would try to use Brook to move up in the draft, bundle Nwora+DDV for Bamba, and bring back Portis. If Connaughton opts out of his contract, I would try to bring him back but we may not be able to fit him in.

Mo Bamba just put his value out of the Bucks price range tonight.

Bucks need to do something, they are going burn Giannis out. We need front court depth badly not a 6'5 guy a legit big. Giannis looks tired.

Nah. No one will give up a 1st for him. Too inconsistent. I would use DDV as bait.

I tend to agree with you, but not entirely convinced this is true. Giannis was hyperventilating after three minutes in a playoff game. I'm not sure it matter what position he plays since he will run around at 100% speed no matter what position he plays. I think he is more mentally worn out he isn't getting calls on the offensive end and getting hacked all the time. .which is irrelevant to his position on the court

In Europe it’s very hard to keep things secret if there’s something going on, certainly with football clubs. Most rumours start when players are unhappy. Big clubs have 30 players who are good enough to play, but only 11 can start, with a max of 5 subs to play a few minutes at the end of games mostly. So many potential unhappy players, certainly if these players could be stars with other teams. You won’t hear them if the team is doing well, but otherwise...

In the NBA the difference between starters and end of the bench guys is huge most of the times. If you don’t play, you’re just not good enough and nobody is interested if you’re unhappy about lack of playing time.
In the NBA you need trades if you want better players during the season. For trades there are a closed number of 29 other teams. Trade values can decrease if things are leaked. So teams should be carefull. The Bucks learnt their lessons.
In football you can just buy almost every player if you want to spend enough. The scouts are known and most of the times it is not hard to find out on whom the scouts have their eyes on.

Him and Robin Lopez gave up 50 points to Joel Imbiid in 27 minutes.

We don't need either of these players. We do need an athletic forward.

Evan Massey (not sure who that is) tweeted that Bucks and Pacers were talking Justin Holiday. Wonder what we would have to give up there?

Why? I mean why? We don't have enough guard depth?

Has to be Donte. No other matching salary unless it's 3 for 1 or we're trading Brook in a bigger deal.

It is I, the Guy Who Can Connect Dots.

ETA: this makes it sound like I might be Evan Massey. I'm not Evan Massey.

Nice try, "Guy Who Can Connect Dots." Guy Who Can Connect Dots has 20 letters and 6 syllables, Evan Massey has 10 letters and 4 syllables. 20/10 = 2, which is the difference of 6-4. Very clever, but I have you figured out.

I'd do something like this: http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yadh6p2t

Donte/Jordan/Semi/Rodney for Holiday and Goga. Pacers save money next year and take fliers on Donte and Jordan. Bucks get a wing upgrade (who happens to be Jrue's brother) and a young big, open up roster spots for buyouts, and don't have to worry about resigning Donte.

Jrue/George
Grayson/Justin
Midds/Conny
Giannis/Bobby
Healthy Brook/Goga

Hard pass on trading Donte for Justin Holiday. We need a PG/SG defender much more than another wing defender. Would he even be an upgrade over Wes at this point?

No, but he'd help with the "brothers" connection, assuming we also get RoLo back next month.

No thanks to building a team of brothers. Don't need to be cute here. Just get the best players available.

Generally, I don't favor the idea of signing brothers of stars. Yes, it can be warm and fuzzy while it lasts, but in the ever changing world of NBA rosters, there is a good chance that a mid tier player will be traded or let go at some point. The potential for disappointment or hard feelings is greater than the potential benefit of having brothers share the court. Bending to nepotism might make sense when trying to get a Freak-ish superstar to sign a max extension, as long as the team is willing to keep the brother on the roster at almost any cost. Not so much when the players involved are not generational stars.
