If the plan was to acquire Lawson and pair him with Knight, then I'd obviously be against it. My plan would be acquire Lawson, trade Knight, re-up Middleton.

What do you guys think the odds are that we acquire Lawson and trade Knight at the deadline are? I would say 0%.

Do you guys really think that we aren't sold on Knight long-term? Everything I have seen, heard and watched has led me to believe Knight is in the plans long-term.

Right. So you agree we are going to pay Knight... how can you not then agree that acquiring Lawson would be bad?

Or do you think the Knight/Lawson backcourt would actually work out well? I mean Lawson/Knight/Middleton/Giannis/Henson (assuming we could keep both Henson and Middleton in that deal) would seem to be a pretty damn good offensive team. I guess I see it struggling mightily rebounding the ball and on defense though.

I don't think anyone here doubts that.

That doesn't prevent us from saying what we HOPE would happen with Knight.

It's the train wreck effect. We see the guy's leg stuck in the train tracks and the incoming train 100 ft away. It's not going to end pretty. Same thing with the contract we'll be forced to match with Knight.
