Wonder where Khris' career would be had Hambone never swindled Dumars in the Jennings trade.

im guessing a lot different, 6 seasons of going 1 on 1 with giannis every day makes you better.

Re: All Star Khris Middleton Thread
The way Khris has responded this year, after inking the contract of his life, has been sensational. Really incredible what he is doing, certainly not what I thought we were gonna get from him. He is leveling up in a big way and as a big trade Khris guy the last couple years, I am more confident in him now than I have ever been. I think he's finally going to come through for us to get this monkey off our back.

Middleton Last 30 games:
30.8 MPG 22 pts 5 assist 6 rebounds 2.2 TOV
8.0/15.8 FG/FGA 2.6/5.7 3P/3PA
.507/.459/.905
25-5 win/loss
Tatum Last 30 Games:
33.8 MPG 23 pts 3 assists 7 rebounds 2.2 TOV
8.5/18.1 FG/FGA 2.8/6.9 3PT/3PTA
.469/.404/.806
21-9 Win/Loss
I'm not going the superstar route yet with Tatum and you might not think this is a big deal but do you think Middleton could've taken over the game offensively and defended Kawhi on the other end like Tatum did last week? I think there is something about what you're seeing with your eyes instead of looking at numbers.
Does this game not count because the Bucks murdered them?

Re: All Star Khris Middleton Thread
I’ve been critical of Khris in the past but I’m desperately hoping he carries this level of performance over into the playoffs. He’s actually exceeded his contract this year and I’ve never been more happy to be wrong not liking an extension. I realize it could look like a bad contract in a couple of years, but Khris playing at this level right now could win us a championship.

It feels like Khris is only slowly realizing how good he is and increasing his usage. Imo he still might have considerable growth in him.

Re: All Star Khris Middleton Thread
He's shooting very well.
The question remains what this looks like in the playoffs. If he's actually somehow made himself into Durant, the offense has to change. The offense has to on some level become turn based. We can't allow high leverage possessions to end with Brook or Pat shooting the open 3.
For this to happen, Khris has to actually compete like the second star. When we're having a tough road game in Miami and Giannis just missed two free throws and then got a charge, Khris has to know the next shot is his. He has to get the ball. Against the Raptors he took 12 shots a game. Doesn't work.
If, however, Middleton normalizes into the decent version of Khris, say 19/6/4 at 46/39/90, that's fine as long as Khris has some gas in the tank for the end of games. Tonight's game will be interesting.

Yet you had guys insisting he'll age really poorly because he doesn't have the athleticism other guys in this league do while COMPLETELY ignoring that he's always had an old man game that is built to age.
That midrange J on the baseline last night. Whoo boy, that was filthy.
His conditioning has been terrible for the last two years. Don’t understand why people assume he wouldn’t age poorly when he looked worse and worse every year after 25. He doesn’t seem to be having that problem this year though. So all the credit to him. It was far from a given though

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

He has proven me wrong. I couldn't be happier about it as well. He is worth his contract and is playing like viable second option. His handle and improvement as a passer are a key to our ship hopes.
Bucks fandom bringing me happiness still seems like a dream.

He bulked up to play the 3, wasn't there multiple reports about this? Obviously his body didn't handle it well and he's thriving with however he's adjusted. Saying his conditioning was terrible is a little misleading.

Maybe slightly, but he was still far from peak physical shape. His injury could have definitely had a impact as well. Still he looks like a completely different player since he had that early season thigh injury.

Midds is averaging 25.9 pts, 8.1 reb, 5.6 ast, 3.5 3pt made, 53% FG, 95% FT over the last month. Dude has been an absolute beast. Worth every penny this year. Glad the haters have left this forum for the most part.

I wonder where it'd be if he hadn't torn his hamstring off the bone.
