We trade the best player in the deal and have to take back Hendo? Pass. Larry for all his faults is still an elite defender. Hopefully we trade away Kidd's mistress Zaza so he has no choice but to play him more.

We're getting last year's #4 and a starting C to replace Larry who profiles as a much better fit with Giannis and Jabari. We also cut close to 30m in salary obligations, though I'd probably use most of that to resign O'Quinn this summer. Still, we divest from Larry's volatility and get two potential starters for it. Henderson is just a contract who expires in 2016, which is good timing for us.

I feel like if Cody Zeller is going to succeed anywhere in the NBA, our offense would be about the best imaginable fit for him.

I don't think the Hornets get enough there to give up on Zeller. Rework it as Sanders/Wolters for Zeller and Henderson even up and call it a day.

But yeah, you and I can bandwagon this for another month. Larry is easily the best player of the bunch, but the volatility is always going to dog him.

I would really like to get McLemore. I think he would fit in perfectly with this team. Especially if the Kings are high on Nik.

Our best chance to get him was last summer when his value was in question, now the Kings asking price for him is going to be too high.

what do you think of Ledo?
Mavs are in desperate need right now for a back up center and we could get back him for Zaza.

I'm interested to know who the player Gery Woelfel is talking about. He said on the post game show last night that it was a player under 25 years old who plays shooting guard. Any guesses?

Jeremy Lamb
Ben McLemore
Nik Stauskas
Archie Goodwin
Victor Oladipo
Bradley Beal (Doubtful)
Terrence Ross (Doubtful)

FWIW, my guy hasn't heard anything about potentially trading for a young shooting guard. Doesn't mean Woelfel is wrong. My guy did mention that Ersan is firmly on the block and they're hoping he can return to form before the deadline.

With the loss of Buckpack you have instantly become the most valuable member of this forum.
Soooo Ersan! Seems that Kidds mancrush on him is over. Nice.
Ersan is easily one of our best assets. Maybe we package with Henson and get back the NOP pick from Houston.

It also means that the FO can embrace the tank. Best news of this crap week. :D
Without Ersan we will be left with JOB having to play many minutes lol

Woeful is working the "Blind Squirrel eventually finds an acorn" thing. If he shovels enough crap out there, eventually he hits on one and then he looks like a genius.... and everyone forgets the misses he had.

We do the same thing with the same level of accuracy/in-acuracy; only none of us gets paid for it....

Clearing Ersan's salary and opening up minutes for JOB and Inglis would be my top priority. It sucks that the injury might put a dent in those plans, but it's good to see that the FO may have the same opinion on Ersan.

I'd trade him for two 2nd round picks and be done with it.

As long as the player traded to the bucks is under 25 and plays in the NBA Woeful would make it look as if he called it... He is a joke

I would guess the more realistic targets look more like;
Tim Hardaway Jr
Dion Waiters
John Jenkins

With Jabari out and an uncertain future, I'm all in to trade for Waiters and see if Kidd can change him. We need to shoot the corners more now.

I am still blown away that people dislike Knight so much... yet want us to trade for Waiters.

That honestly makes zero sense to me. If Waiters "changes", he is Knight.

No thanks. He would instantly become the most hated player on this board.

EDIT: Newz beat me to it

Ersan's value should still be fine. He was playing well before his injury, and it's not like he injured his foot/knee/etc. If he's cleared to play at any point before the deadline, I'm sure any team that was interested in him before, will still be interested.

Just based on Woelfel's description of who the Bucks were looking at I thought of two players immediately. Dion Waiters and...... Lance Stephenson. But its Woelfel so I'm not going to start believing we are going to trade for a young SG just interesting to talk about. I thought of those two because the discussion was about getting a young player under 25 who could be the 3rd star with Giannis and Parker.

Guys, we should never, ever be discussing anything Woeful says. Ever. His dead great grandma has more league sources than he does.
