I was thinking about this the other day as well. As much as I like The Core I would much rather the team be built and organized around Giannis. Everything his touches turns to gold. I don't want to see him him in a corner begging for a pass only to have Monroe, Jerryd Kiddless or Kobe Middleton force shots.

I got him at 23/9/8/2/2 next year. If we make the right moves and put together a solid squad I wouldn't put top 5 MVP candidate out of the discussion.

Do we have a single media person who can ask any real questions of interest? These guys have daily access and yet we haven't seen a single question about what his plans are for the summer. Even if he may not answer, they need to be asking this.

Let me guess
April 13 NBA season is over. He'll come to Greece around April 20.
Celebrating the Greek Easter at May 1-eating delicious traditional greek food on this day.
3 pick-up games in open gyms during May in 3 different Greek cities(Athens-Thessaloniki-Heraclion).
Start of National team camp at the beginning of June.
Three friendly games for Greek team during June.
June 23 Greece-Turkey
June 26 Turkey-Greece
June 28 Serbia-Greece.
Pre-olympic tournament in Turin-Italy(July 4-July 9)
Greece against Mexico and Iran..the winner(obviously Greece) against Italy or Croatia in the semi-final....the winner against Italy or Croatia at the final.
The winner goes to Rio.
With Greece team qualified or not(most likely) he will spent his holidays in some random Greek island in August.
Back to Milwaukee at the end of the summer(if Greece don't participate in the Olympics).

Hope you're wrong on the NT stuff (no offense). He needs rest and the summer for skill development so bad. He has the chance to come into the season a top 5 player if he plays his cards right this summer. The NT stuff is a double whammy to me because it not only takes time away from skill development but it also doesn't give him the proper rest/recovery time that IMO he really could use.

His AAU stats last year...

28% FG
56% FT
18% 3pt

Yep, those same stats that projected OJ Mayo to be a superstar.

The point being if he didn't share the same last name as Giannis nobody around these parts would even mention the idea of drafting him

The point being that AAU stats are not always an accurate way to project someone's career trajectory.

With those numbers he'd be the MVP favorite, even on a .500 team that barely makes the playoffs. I seriously doubt that kind of production is sustainable for anyone over an 82 game season.

And that part doesn't include the olympics. It's pre-olympics.
It's a disaster.

3 years ago... That was three years ago. His dream was to be a NBA player.

Also, said his favorite players are Magic Johnson and Kevin Durant.

Westbrook put up 28/7/9 last year in 34mpg, 30/8/9 per 36. And he's at 24/8/10 this year (25/8/11 per 36). It's not impossible imo.

Maybe I pushed the scoring a bit, but the 9 rebounds and 8 assists to me aren't that unrealistic, obviously this is all under the assumption that we continue using Giannis at point forward and up his usage even more next year, as well as he improves. I mean he's averaging 19/9/9 in 15 games of being the PG and I don't think anything he's doing right now is unsustainable, he's just playing his game freely. He's definitely got the potential.

I think his numbers will be crazy. There are just a lot of possessions where he rebounds it, brings it up himself, and initiates everything. Plus, if the Bucks D improves, transition opportunities should get nutty with Jabari at full strength. I think his numbers next year are at least his post ASB numbers.

Holy cripes. If you're gonna dream, dream big. That's MVP level discussion for sure. I highly doubt it, but hope you're right.

Think his assist numbers will drop a little from his post ASB run with the increased role of Jabari. Think 20/9/6 is where Giannis is heading next season.

Jabari's scoring will be up too. Giannis may not see a 20ppg average either.
