DJ is from Sacramento, Ersan lives in Mequon with the family.

Had to have been Donte and girlfriend searching for a home in Sacramento. And if we're at that point, it certainly tells you a deal was agreed on in some form quite early.

ETA: A point being hinted to on all these stories is that we promised Bogdan $18 million a year, but after the Jrue trade didn't realize we couldn't do that anymore. That angle would line up with the Pat mess.

Someone blew his load & got ahead of himself. Two guys did, the ones in charge. Lasry & Horst, but maybe your theory points this to one guy in Marc.

Whatever the case, when you're making moves you committed to & consider necessary...

You've got to do your maths right.

Whether or not a player is valued in a trade isn't really a barometer of how much said player does or doesn't suck. I don't think anyone has ever denied that DDV has potential.

Your a answer is stupid, of course it reflects on the player, the fact 2 teams wanted Donte as the central figure and the Bucks valued him so highly tells you just how good he is. If Giannis gets over this and signs the extension, the Bucks sheer incompetence might actually prove to be a benefit, in this 1 particular case.

I’m surprised they didn’t insist on all the other young assets and draft picks we had left after the Jrue trade.
Please reconsider your animal consumption.

Plan was iron out the trade and then when FA opened get the signing part done. Dude signed a sheet elsewhere.

There is absolutly ZERO chance of Bogdan not wanting to play with Giannis just to play for the Hawks with the same money.
Either we screwed it or they screwed us or both.

The fact that Lasry's name is anywhere near this is a joke. What the **** needs to happen for you to learn? Hope his penalty is that the league tells him he can't participate in the celebrity all-star game because he's not a celebrity.

Absolutely agree bogdan could of still came here could of signed for 17 instead of 18 if he really wanted to play for the bucks.I dont blame the FO at all they offered him 17 million a year and apparantly playing with giannis was all BS cause he chose the hawks for 18 million

$4,000,000.00 USD is a lot of money for someone who has been in the league for 3 years total (on a rookie deal).

I really don't understand what happened.

There's no evidence contract details with Bogdan were discussed. There's nothing to say Sac and Mil can't discuss sign and trade and THEY came to an agreement. Per article, all that was left was for Bogdan to agree to contract on Friday. So why are Bucks getting investigated??

And if Bogdan truly wanted to play with Giannis, what's stopping him?? The "looming cloud" of weak ass investigation?

I place blame on Bogdan. If he wanted to, he could've come.

Even leaking agreed sign and trade creating problems doesn't make sense. Nothing illegal UNLESS Bogdan negotiated with BUCKS. I've seen no evidence of that.

I don't know, but that article seems pretty click baity. The author contradicts himself in the same paragraph. Looks to me like someone is trying to kneecap the Bucks ownership.

So they basically waded up to their necks in one of the most absurd bidding wars in NBA history for Jrue, giving up #24, Bledsoe, Hill, protection on the Cavs pick, payroll flexibility, what could easily be 4 high lotto picks, AND their chance of having enough outgoing salary to get Bogdan, and now we find out Bogdan was Giannis's preferred teammate all along??? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Also if the reporting is true kudos for the Bucks for doing the right thing and prioritizing Jrue over Bogdan even if Giannis was for some reason infatuated with Bogdan. Which to be honest seems like a real stretch.

The part about blaming ownership seems kind of vague and speculative but the rest of it all adds up perfectly.

Agree 1000% this board the majority of them want to blame horst and the FO more than bogdan being 2 faced and a hypocrite.
Players have taken less to play for a championship team or with a friend bogdan with his BS comments about wanting to play with giannis was just that BS.
1 million xtra a year should not of caused bogdan to turn his back on giannis .....the FO did nothing wrong bogdan didnt want to play here....period no matter what he said

Let's not rule out Bogdan becoming a Buck if he throws a fit after a bad Hawks start or season.

I get being mad at the league but really how else were they supposed to handle this if another team complains? Say '**** off nerd, everyone breaks our rules'. From what has been reported all they actually did was say they were opening and investigation and sent a memo. Big deal, and if the Bucks actually didn't negotiate a contract then it's a complete nothing.

The league should really just do away with all the grey area and either just openly let anyone talk once the year is done or punish the **** out of the agents along with the teams if they keep the rules. But as long as they basically have this current 'don't ask don't tell' policy you have to at least play by that rule and the Woj tweet crossed that imaginary line.

If he’s as good as everyone thinks they shouldn’t have a bad start...plus who wants a whiny bitch?

Yup. But, to be fair, I would have been buying it this whole time if I could watch my favorite local team. The NBA is so dumb.

He wasn't on a typical rookie deal fwiw. He was stashed long enough to avoid the rookie scale.

Whatever the case, 4 million dollars is both a lot of money and also way more than anybody needs.
