I'm imagining Wes Matthews and Marvin Williams losing to the Heat in 5 games :reporter:.

The moment we catch someone from Dallas speaking to Giannis we call Adams and report them. We also send him a video with proof.

Looking like he dropped some weight. DJ has all the tools, his shot has always been smooth and that small little stretch where he was a switching defensive machine is still tantalizing. I hated that we stopped playing DJ and waived Wood before the playoffs a couple years ago, could not have been worse than Mirotic.

Yep, I remember thinking that DJ had really turned into something and then we dealt for Mitotic and completely stopped playing DJ. I still have hope that if he can get consistent playing time that he can be that guy again. Especially if we plan on switching more this season

His shot hasn't always been smooth.

DJ is a herky-jerky type of player. He plays very frantically and looks like he’s unable to process information very easily, which to me says he doesn’t know what the real important pieces of information are. Info overload = his body pulling him in 10 different directions.

If he could learn to focus and minimize the noise (informational noise) then he has the tools to be a contributor

I’ve always thought it’s looked pretty good, his issue to me is mostly lack of focus and BBIQ imo. If DJ could consistently defend like he has in small stretches he’d be super valuable even without changing any of his offense.

I'm guessing they knew from practice that his tolerable 3 point shooting was just a mirage. Fast forward a year and a half later, and they were right. Could he improve? Sure, and I think they're banking on it, or they would have attached a 2nd round pick and dealt just like how a bunch of other similar players with similar contracts have been moved.

It's quite a projection they're making, because even though he's exactly what they need defensively in the playoffs, I have a really, really hard time believing in him offensively in a playoff setting.

Pat still can't help but blow by every pumpfake that is thrown his way. Truly warms my heart.

We don't have the classic pump fake on every shot even if I'm wide open Ersan anymore so this will have to do.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Perfectly fitting that the very first highlight is Pat flying past a shooter on a pumpfake.

Consistency is often a good trait, unless it's based on error.

What if instead of DJ, Thanasis is the backup 4?

If Wilson can keep his effort and focus up, he can play. If he can hit shots too, he can actually be pretty valuable.

Now: why would we believe he can do any of that?

Its his last shot to prove he deserves another contract?

That is the only reason. I expect him to start out the season like a madman and then peter out after a couple weeks. I don't think he is wired in a way that would allow him to consistently give a damn.
