And he's gonna be hitting 3's.

It's mind boggling how he changed his shot in like 6-8 weeks.

Think he might be too thirsty of a scorer to be more than the 5-6 assist guy. Playing more as a big guy might hinder passing opportunities too.

It'll probably be a relief for most of them. It gets tricky when you have to switch to the 2nd hand!

If their RealGM subforum is any indicator, half the Nets fanbase probably can't even count to 10 to begin with.

He's a Jokic fan. Giannis have it all (really).

I wouldn't put a cap on any aspect of his game tbh.

If his passing accuracy wasn't so bad I think he would get to 7-8 assists per game.

I've wondered if he would be a better or worse player if he started to think pass first.

The thing about being pass first when you don't have an elite IQ like CP3 or Steve Nash is that you sometimes start to over-pass.

Small ball and Bobby lineups are going to get a lot of threes, Allen is going to feast, Nwora looks like he's going to get minutes. We've got shooters who want to shoot.

Over/under on Giannis beating his rookie season 3 point % of 34.7% ?

I think he averages just under it at 33% this year but shatters it next year.

Do you think he could go for 34+/12/5 if he felt like it? I think if we a good amount of minutes at the 5 he can put up what he wants.

I think he ends up cruising to 30 a night but if he amps it up a bit more like before last season a point a minute makes sense specially with his confidence growing on those 10-12 foot jumpers and him normalising from the line.

I was thinking he'd cruise but he also looks like he did at the start of his 4th and 7th seasons when he kinda realised he'd gone up a level and wanted to try it out.

Crazy thing I looked up tonight, on a Per 100 possession basis, MJ only had one scoring season better than Giannis's '20 season. Kobe only had one. Giannis's 2nd best is better than Kobe's.

Giannis's best is 44.2. LeBron's best is 40.8. Durant's best is 41.8. Carmelo's best is 41.4. Iverson never came within 4.5 points.

Those are just random names I picked out, but it's still wild.

I'm in love with those 10-12 foot jumpers. They looks so smooth and confident now. His baseline jumper has gotten better over the last couple of years, and it looks more fluid anywhere from 12 feet inward.

He doesn't need anything else.

I'm probably overreacting to a couple preseason games, but maybe not. It is Giannis after all. He always grows his game season after season. If he can hit those 10-12ft jumpers there's really nothing any player or NBA defense can do to stop him. It will also help his longevity of he can rely on those jumpers to reduce a few collisions and bumps along the way.

I love the new form on his jump shot, but he should be focusing most of his attention on post moves and hook shots. He can easily seal a man under the basket. Imagine Giannis with a Domantas Sabonis like post game.

He's just saving that for the next addition, it'll come. He improved every --+- year.

Yeah if he polishes up his mid-post stuff with that 12-15 ft jumper he's going to get doubled a lot more frequently or else it's a bucket.

Yup, summer of 2022 coming off his repeat performance, he'll go back to the lab, and come back in Oct with a refined post game.

He keeps unlocking new levels.

I think barring injuries his peak will be top 5 all time. Injury question mark is very very real though. If he stays healthy (70+ games in RS + full playoffs) and is healthy enough to really work in the offseason too, I think by age 28-29 the only guys I may rule out him surpassing are peak Bron/MJ. His peak has already surpassed the likes of Kobe, KG, Dirk imo. Next step is the 6-10 all time guys.

If he can work in that 10-12ft area and take less pounding it could be huge keeping him healthy to reach that all time level. It's insane he's not peaked yet.
