Lol. Nah, I was hoping for a 2-for-1 roster spot opening more than anything.

Love that we continue to try and improve the roster on the margins. Smart is a big guard who shot it well from 3 as a junior.

Yup. Smart move. He has a chance to develop into an NBA 3rd guard in time. Robinson just doesn't have the combo of body/athleticism to make it in the NBA, imo.

Wall... I just can't picture him playing for the Bucks. Funny thing about John; he said he had reinvented himself - while rehabbing - into a 3 point shooter, and people would be amazed, but it didn't show at all. Who knows, maybe playing a smaller role with Milwaukee would bring that out of him?

Yeah I'm sure it was everyone else, the Clippers really struggled. Wait, they were good? Well, only good players play in the playoffs, so I'm sure his numbers stabilized then. Wait, he was -21 per 100 in the playoffs.

Don't kill the messenger man, I didn't create these stats. If you watched any of these Clipper playoff games, you'd understand why I'm a skeptic.

The alternative to being a skeptic is believing multiple teams would rather leave a roster spot open than sign a player who's awesome and willing to sign for minimum, without any guaranteed money.

You didn't create these stats and you don't understand them, "man." You're using 58 minutes as a sample argument. It's comical.

Watch a playoff game he played in, and you'd understand. He was massively targeted. In guessing you were too busy coming here and telling me we weren't contenders to see any of those games.

Nah, I don't mean that. You're a good dude, but if you watch the replay of those playoff games, you'd see it too. He just can't move, he can't bend his knees.

He was only a major reason why they survived game 5 and forced a game 6 vs. Phoenix but k. But hey, like I said, it remains comical that you'd use what boils down to a 4 game sample as some sort of proof.

I mean, we got Tucker last year. This year the buyouts haven't even started yet. Cousins as a pure non-GTD FA signing could definitely be a useful pickup.

Worry about the buy out guys when we get there. Cousins can help us in the near term and maybe become guaranteed if he fits.

Am gonna pretend we have a shot at Wall because it's fun but I doubt we do.

The Boogie friendship does make the timing interesting.

That and Holiday had one of his best seasons playing more of a combo guard role next to Rajon Rondo (with Cousins also on the roster).

Starting John Wall seems like we'd take a big hit with our shooting considering Holiday is just mediocre there though.

However he'd bring some unreal energy and playmaking off the bench if he were to commit to the role.

I have hope that Cousins works out for the Bucks. I don't look at him compared to others that the Bucks play at center, but rather the improvements at the back end of the rotation. If Cousins plays 10-12 minutes a game, that will allow Portis to slide over to PF and Connaughton to slide back to SF, and Allen to slide back to SG sending giving Nwora and Hood more Bench time. Even for 10 minutes a game, that will be a big help.

The 3 guard lineup has been a challenge this season.

Fun Fact:

The Bucks have played 1013 minutes this season. Antetokounmpo, Middleton and Holiday have only been on the floor together for 130 of those minutes, an average of 6 minutes per game. The Bucks are +28 in those 130 minutes.

Last season those three players were on the court together an average of 12.8 minutes per game. That jumped to 25.4 mpg in the playoffs.

Cousins and Wall (pipe dream) could be semi-useful.

People use the word "washed" too liberally. Obviously Boogie isn't anywhere close to what he used to be, but as early as 9 months ago he was pulling down 10-15 boards a game and being a really solid stretch-5 on offense. He's less "washed" than a 26-year old Semi Ojeleye...

Netrating is +23.3 with the big 3.

I wanted to look this up myself, because I thought something like this would be the case. 2 players:
Giannis + Jrue: 342 mins, +20.7 (14 games)
Giannis + Khris: 264 mins, +13.1 (13 games)
Jrue + Khris: 162 mins, +21.0 (9 games)

The 4 best 3-man lineups (100+ mins) are with Hill!

Like the movie Sixteen Candles when the kids selling tickets to show panties in the bathroom. "Go for it!" Bucks have to waive somebody if Wall wants to be here with Cousins. Newly drafted Greek kid or trade him for a future pick? Or trade or waive any of Semi or Hood. Maybe even trade DDV? Or trade Nwora? Has to be another Bud's least favorite pitched aside.

I wonder what the end-game is here. Like Wall isn't going to lose money to leave the Rockets. Rockets have no incentive to save maybe a million or two this year when he becomes a much more tradeable asset next year. Just suit him up as I doubt an unmotivated Wall win the Rockets enough games to not be in the 1-3 slot.

Endgame for Rockets is to make the situation untenable for John Wall and threaten to take away 2 years of his career if he doesn't accept leaving money on the table to get out of said situation

Depends on how motivated Wall is to get out of there

he's 31 and has made $180M in his career, so leaving $5-10M or more on table isn't going to hurt him that much

Adding guys like Wall and Cousins, too me, is about having enough talent to hold the 20 point leads while the three are out. I think in almost every game I have seen this year we have had a 20 point lead and a 20 point lead evaporate with our stars are resting.

These are the kind of moves that can really make a difference keeping our stars fresh. Sign those two and Thad Young when he eventually gets bought out and we are deep, deep and deep and fresh fresh fresh come playoffs.

His athletism looks washed, his skill and strength is still there.

Watch the clips playoffs, he can't jump at all, struggles to run up the court. Moves like he's underwater.

Still excited to have Boogie, his passing and shooting is better than Brook. He can still use his strength and position to get boards.

I believe we would need to offer Wall the starting spot, which is fine for me. Jrue + Wall.

Rockets are holding out for that mid-season Lakers trade for when Lebro....uh I mean "Pelinka" calls up about a Russ for Wall deal. I can't see them buying him out given how much money he's owed. Blake gave up $13 million of his guaranteed money with the Pistons, but Wall would have to give up almost twice that.
