You would have rather traded AJ Green than AJJ? C'mon man.

Hell ya I would he’s 5 yrs older and if you D up on him he can’t get his shot off. He can shoot though but is streaky he is not a starting sg AJ Johnson at least has potential to be something better

I supposed one way to look at this is we could trade the 2031 for 3 first rounders. I don’t think anyone here thinks AJ Johnson could be traded for 3 first rounders?

There has to be an advanced stat for tats that correlate to DBPM. Stats for tats. Sorry, Chonestown, copywritten already.

What are the chances of Mids getting bought out? I really don't know but my intuition is telling me it's near 0%. I would love to cheer for him on a contender

I know we all know of these events but sometimes seeing it spelled out helps, for those still in mourning.

April 2022: Left knee injury (MCL sprain)
December 2022: Right knee injury
Summer 2023: surgical repair of right knee*
Feb 2024: left ankle sprain (rolled ankle - KD stupid foot)
April 2024: right ankle sprain (plays through it)
Summer 2024: surgical repair x2, both ankles

That's serious injury to 4 of his 6 major joints in his lower body and surgery on 3 of the 6 - in a 3 year stretch.

Instability in any major joint increases risk of injury in the others. This is a really important point. If your knee is injured, your other joints may compensate and their injury risk goes up. That's if one of your joints are injured.

This issue compounds with each injury. If he had one of the above issues he'd still have some degree of increased future injury risk. With two sketchy knees and two sketchy ankles, I wouldn't be willing to bet on him staying on the floor either and sadly I would not be shocked if it's his hip or back next.

Another factor is that he's just not a genetic freak like many pro athletes. A lot of those guys can recover so fast and massively lower their future injury risk but these rapid succession injuries are compounding for Khris in a really bad way.

I don't think Giannis or even the franchise (maybe Doc but just because he's a dinosaur) are pissed at Khris for lack of availability or thinking he was milking his way back, I think they have accepted how broken down he is and that assess that his future injury risk or just plain old not being available is just way too high.

AJJ was the only rookie I've had some genuine hope for in some time, so it makes sense we trade him.

And goodbye Khris. We tried to trade you for Kyrie, Jimmy and Beal, and finally we moved you for Kuzma. Damn. What an absolute legend of this basketball club you've been.

Lets hope Pat Baldwin with his 69 games can be something.

**** and we gave up AJ too and a pick swap? WTF are we doing? This is basically punting the season just to save a few $$.

Lots of obsession over a guy people were bewildered was even drafted to the Bucks last summer.

This. I’m not a huge fan of the trade unless it is leading to more moves, but watching people lose their minds over AJ Johnson is hilarious.

Jokes aside, I think this is a nothing trade and I assume there is another move in the works. Khris' body is cooked and anyone that says otherwise is in denial, wearing deer-colored glasses, or both.

AJ Johnson is not worth losing your marbles over, my god, get a grip. He is 2 years away from (MAYBE) being 2 years away, we don't have that kind of time.

If this is a trade to save money, then permission to show up to Horst/Haslam's places and burn whatever you see.

This is the most rational take. If/when we blow up things and rebuild, the Giannis, Dame and Kuzma trades get us even more players just like AJs and maybe they'll even be AJs, too

Dropped $1,300 on a seat after game 4 that was pushing $4,500 after game 5. Best money I've ever spent.

Am I the only one that actually thinks the pick exchanges here clearly are a net positive for the Bucks?

They _add_ a second round pick in 2025 (probably will be somewhere 30-45)

They **might** _move down_ slightly in the 2028 first round, and that's only if the Wizards are better than the Bucks/Blazers.

That 2025 2nd rounder also gets them a little more buying power in the short term, whereas that 2028 (before it was triple-swapped) didn't really have much value.

Thank you for contextualizing this. Makes me anxious about whether or not KM will pass a physical. Anxious, that is, assuming we have another deal coming that's more appealing.

Exactly, we obviously weren't trading a rotation piece and AJJ is our best "prospect" that's out of the rotation

That being said... if it turns out he's better than Rollins/AJax by this/next year than this could be a managerial screw up in that he should have been in the rotation already over Pat C

We did right by KM... got him a ring, gave him a bag more than once, and now he can end his career as a tank commander somewhere which is his natural role as a dude that demands the ball constantly and doesn't play D or hustle.

If Kuzma is available and hustles this is actually a big upgrade

The Bucks drafted AJ Johnson for the future and six months later they used him to dump a franchise legend. It’s pretty ****.

my hope is that Pat Baldwin transforms and blossoms his game like Middleton did when we traded for him years ago.
