In fact the letter affected Middleton so much it's carried over into this season. Damn you Parker, damn you to hell.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I don't want to trade Jabari because of his obvious knee concerns and the risks with that, that letter however...

Imagine for a moment, Parker delivered that message in a short video. With a picture worth 1000 words, the carnage after such an event would be on a scale we simply could not afford in our small market. Does the sheer force of his voice paying tribute to the solid efforts of his team in their playoff fight cause the immediate retirement of several key players and forfeiture of the series? Thankfully we will never know.

Imagine if he wrote a nasty letter about MKE and his teammates, we could lose Giannis or even the team.

Re: The Jabari Discussion Thread - Rehab, Game, Contract - NO DEAL, GOES TO RFA
The last few pages of this thread gave me cancer.
What I see in Jabari is our only non-Giannis player who can face someone up from the arc and take them to the rack with ease. He does that better than Giannis IMO. Definitely scared about the contract that he's going to get, but there aren't many teams with a ton of cap space next year. Definitely not down with trading him for scraps like Robin Lopez, or just to get out from under delly/Henson/Telly contracts, unless we jettison all 3 and get back cheap controllable players with potential. But I don't think that'd work for salary reasons.
I'm a hold on Jabari.

I bet that jerk taped it inside each of their lockers in a selfish move to constantly remind everyone how much of a genuine guy he is.

Re: The Jabari Discussion Thread - Rehab, Game, Contract - NO DEAL, GOES TO RFA
I actually don't think it is unfair to say he had some part in the fiasco that took place in the Toronto series. His refusal to go on his Mormon mission became a real distraction. It was all over the local and national church bulletin. Even during the National Latter Day Saints convention, the elders were saying how much better the Bucks would be doing if Parker was in a foreign country. If I was in the church and proselytized my butt off only to take a backseat to a Diva, it could very well affect my focus and hustle. Then when we couldn't get any converts, everyone was saying if only Jabari was preaching we would have gotten more. This, after he had nothing to do with why the church was in a foreign country in the first place.
I would have no problem if he preached one or two messages encouraging his brothers, but instead he wrote his life story and became the story. This selfish act took away from how amazing and hard the Mormons worked to convert heathens. I do believe it was a distraction and did cause a lack of focus and prayer. After this refusal the Mormons looked like a completely different group. You can't tell me missionaries were not talking about it among themselves.

Oh please, clearly Bartelstein told him to do that as a self-centered PR stunt. It's obvious.

Don't forget his egregious decision to immerse himself in the community to boot. That type of non-basketball activity shall be afforded no quarter within the Bucks' 'DNA,' and has cost us countless wins over the past two years.

Popped into the thread. Went back a couple pages and I couldn't understand why there seemed to be a lengthy debate over a letter I didn't know existed. Went back further. Kept going back because I wanted to know what in the hell was this incredible letter was. Found out.
I hate some of you so much right now.

I really want to hear DukeH, MMBOT or Epicurus chime in on this debate. Do you guys remember Epicurus or was he just a poster on JSOnline?

If you know Epicurious, you know that there are only two ways to properly summon him:
1. Mention Terry Stotts.
2.

Epi was here during the Stotts era and is now on the Portland board from time to time. He was actually a good guy. He had/has a connection to Stotts which explains his viewpoints but overall he was a knowledgeable guy. DukeH and MMBOT were "unique", I'll give them that.

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.
