I had a Dreamcast too ... virtua tennis, Virtua Striker (soccer) NBA 2k , virtual athlete was great too.

Dreamcast was the first console I bought with my own money. $99 was perfect for a youngin. And the games are legendary, all the ones you mentioned but can't forget about one of my favorites of all time, Skies of Arcadia.

I still have a working Dreamcast. Used to play some Crazy Taxi, Shenmue, Soulcaliber for the nostalgia feel every nopw and then.
There is also a great Dreamcast Emulator : https://redream.io/

Home from holiday travel and excited to have the next week off and to myself (rarely happens over the holidays for me). Decided to wait for some more patches before jumping back into the POE2 EA. Doing some Dead Cells runs right now as I never played the past couple DLCs, then I think planning to do a Pillars of Eternity 2 run before Avowed comes out.

Also have a killer new mouse to play with! Thanks j for gift. All of these buttons are going to come in handy for ARPGs.

I fired up a new playthrough of Octopath II, this time on Xbox. Felt like it had been too long since I last started up my 70+ hour playthrough and I figured I'd be too lost.

Back in the office for the first time in a week and I was happy to see Octopath was available to play on Xbox's cloud service. Unfortunately, I've been in their queue for the last hour. I don't ever remember this being an issue in the past, but it's pretty bad now.

Has anyone played Dredge ? It's amazing. I might be biased because I love fishing and Lovecraftian horror, but I think it is a great little game by any standard, and has quite the following and excellent reviews.

What do you think of OT2? I presume you like it since you've played 70+ hours and decided to re-start. How does the flow feel and how's the story?

I really like it quite a bit. Enjoyable characters, solid stories (still don't interconnect in any meaningful way that I can tell, though), with a seriously beefy battle system loaded with customization. The game isn't easy and even with enormously powerful attacks and summons I still got walloped by secret bosses and dungeons.

Definitely my favorite RPG of the last couple years.

I've beaten Dead Cells (base - not through all BSC) on three consoles now. I don't know the formula this game has that makes it so much better than other rogue likes, but it really is. I don't think anything even remotely compares in my book.

Hades is the only other one IMO.

I think 95%+ of people agree with you. Hades didn't do it for me, though. Played it for <10 hours and bounced off of it without completing it.

I made the mistake of watching a SGDQ run of Octopath 2 earlier, didn't even get halfway through, and it completely wrecked my day. I was having fun going at my own pace. Now I'm switching back to my 70 hour save.

ETA: it was 100 hours.

Something wildly satisfying about the wackiness of the Yakuza games. Had only played 0, now into Kiwami and looking forward to continuing even if it means going back to the past for 3-6.

Really enjoying Day Z now that I've got the hang of it. Honestly, this games learning curve was nearly 30 hours for me and I've barely scratched the surface. Got sick from some bad water, made a hike to a city, found a guy, pulled my gun on him and shot, click. Turns out I never reloaded. Pulled out my knife before he could get his gun out and stabbed him to death.

It took forever to figure out city one I was in, found a police station and loaded up on guns and a ballistic vest, found the clinic in the city and got Tetracycline Pills, boom, medical problem solved. On to the next city.

I spent quite some time in Day Z. If you find a good Server it is ten times better. I found a german one that had a community with forum discord etc, their own server with high participation, events etc.

Police stations are great for military stuff (military camps and airports even better) ,clinics for pills.

The further north you go the moire fun with animals you will have :D

Regarding your position, you can download the App iZurvive or use the web one : https://dayz.ginfo.gg/chernarusplussatmap/

iZurvive has been huge for me. But sometimes I can’t even identify what city I’m in to look for lol. I’m trying to get a couple buddies to play to have more fun. Solo can only last me so long before I’ll burn out or get instantly killed by everyone I see.

Relatedly, I just watched a Dead Cells speed run the other day and someone did the clock tower in like 25 seconds and it absolutely blew my mind.

Act 1 is so perfect. The zones, the bosses, everything. I hope they tailor the others a little bit to match that feel. I do love everything Vaal though so I kinda dig Act 3 anyways, even though I totally agree.

Act 2 blows though lol.

I did jump back in as I had the ARPG itch and it seems GGG is taking some time before the next patch. I started playing Palsteron's Explosive Shot build and it's absolutely insane. It's orders of magnitude better than the builds I had whipped up myself closer to launch. If anyone wants a fun ranged build, check it out. Since transitioning into the build I haven't had to do any boss mechanics

Level with this: https://maxroll.gg/poe2/build-guides/deadeye-gas-arrow-leveling-guide
Transition here post-level 45 (mid-Act "4" for me), and once you have a 300 PDPS crowwbow you can equip: https://maxroll.gg/poe2/build-guides/explosive-shot-deadeye-build-guide#gearing-header

Video about the transition (he has more build vids, too): ;t=407s
