Is anybody surprised that Giannis would stick up for his coach? Kid is loyal, I am more wondering who were the guys that supposedly hated Kidd. Brogdon seems like easy answer, but who else?

Exactly. That's some bush league stuff from Kidd. How utterly surprising. Just grow up and show some professionalism for a change. What an a@@.

Yep. It's wrong for Kidd to air this publicly, the only reason to do it is to attempt to save face. But it's transparently self serving and not a good look.

2nd - Giannis is clearly a very loyal person, and that's an endearing quality. He's so young though and he might not fully grasp how different things can be with a quality head coach.

Gimme Blatt. Who do you want? Or are you perpetually miserable?

I am not so opinionated, I think I'm pretty opened minded. I'd be fine with James Borrego or Monty Williams or Blatt even!

I don't even care that much. It's hard to imagine anyone being as infuriating as he-who-must-not-be-named.

Giannis has changed 3 coaches in 4,5 seasons.
That's the only thing i can give to him.
It will be shocking if Giannis didn't realize(just like any other bucks player) that the team was going nowhere.
Did he like the bball the team played? I don't think so.
It's the first reactions and emotions are strong. He will get over it.

Loyalty is indeed in his DNA but thank the God it wasn't enough in this case.

Want to congratulate all of you guys who used the #fireKidd avatar here over the past days, weeks, months.

Kidd being let go was inevitable, but I have to think you guys sped it up. Every effort the team made to communicate with the fans, bloggers, NBA media, etc had twitter timelines blown up by those avatars. And the team couldn't block people because otherwise they'd be blocking their biggest supporters.

While not as high profile or splashy it was every bit as important as the "Winning Takes Balls" billboard from 2013. Once again the core Bucks fanbase creates a new way to get their message out. Well done boys. Well done. Dinner needs to be bought for whoever designed that thing.

If the Bucks **** up the next hire, it won't matter how Giannis feels about Kidd because he'll be gonezo anyways. Hire somebody good, win, and Giannis will again have to Google Jason Kidd to remember who he was.

Giannis is likely going to have his coach fired several more times during his career. Deal with it like a professional.

I have to give credit to Kidd for one impressive thing he did that I thought would never happen as a Bucks fan, he made me long for the days of Chris Ford.

Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly, but he did a pretty good job when he was previously interim, team as a whole, looked vastly better. That's what I recall at least.

I remember everyone on here asking if Kidd could take a permanent leave of absence to get that hip cleaned up.

I think he did like the basketball being played. Sure he wants to win, but I’m sure being so young he loved the minutes he was getting and being able to iso whenever he wanted filling up the stat sheet.

The funeral atmosphere means nothing in such cases.

So talk of something by Friday. Didn’t seem like Prunty is guaranteed to coach rest of the season. Could Fizdale be on the way? The way Horst worded it sure seemed like something beyond come Friday “well, we have decided to make Prunty the coach for the remainder of the season”.

Though I don’t see Fizdale wasting his time coming here if he could lose the job again over the summer.

Agreed on the bad timing. Should have been done after the Miami game 12 months ago.
