Javonte Smart sounds intriguing. I want Horst to go after more of these low risk high reward players. Could end up being a "free wallet". Creating an asset out of nothing is key in professional sports, especially for a team that has traded away some many draft picks.

I loved Smart out of LSU, he's got a lot of translatable skills. He excites me far more than Justin Robinson, just a way better player.

And I've always liked Boogie a lot.

I agree. And there’s no down side. It’s a free look at him, essentially

here's what the Miami newspaper wrote when he signed with them.

The guy isn't that good. Just another body in case of injury. Robinson was doing well to start with, but he went into a shooting slump and that was it. The Bucks go thru two or three of these bench warming guards every season. Nothing to get excited about.

Cheap shot but it’s a Morris so I’ll assume he had it coming. Play on.

Player development matters. Someone will be the next Kendrick Nunn, and it could be this guy.

Robinson was awful from the beginning, not surprising from a player who was a middling G League player.

Boogie was responding to Morris hitting the other dude with his forearm.

I’m almost certain that Wall would choose the Clippers before coming here. They’d give him starters minutes right away just to dump Bledsoe on the bench.

If he came here, I definitely wouldn’t want him getting minutes over Hill or Allen. They just fit better.

He would basically be taking Donte’s minutes bro we can safely trade him.

If Wall wants a bigger role, he goes elsewhere.

Robinson was ass.

Never saw him take a shot that I thought was going in.

You didn't create these stats and you don't understand them, "man." You're using 58 minutes as a sample argument. It's comical.

Watch a playoff game he played in, and you'd understand. He was massively targeted. In guessing you were too busy coming here and telling me we weren't contenders to see any of those games.

Nah, I don't mean that. You're a good dude, but if you watch the replay of those playoff games, you'd see it too. He just can't move, he can't bend his knees.

He was only a major reason why they survived game 5 and forced a game 6 vs. Phoenix but k. But hey, like I said, it remains comical that you'd use what boils down to a 4 game sample as some sort of proof.

So I'm an idiot for using too small of sample, and you prove that by using a fraction of that sample?

Then you suggest that it was Cousins heroic 11 minutes in the middle of that game that forced game 6, and not Paul George going off for 40 points on 20 shots?

If we're ignoring the entire body of work for a few minutes of 1 game, do you think we should bring Jeff Teague in too? He did have a good game 6 of the ECF.

I'm sure you'll have a long winded response, but I have no interest in further engagement.

According to my research there was not a single player available who had a higher VORP last season (+0.5). That coupled with the organizations value on character and defense I think this Boogie guy could work out!

I think Bogey's cooked and it's been that way for years. Had his moments for the Warriors, but with the geriatric back, galactic brain and advanced age, I'm iffy on this move. Still, in Horts we (I) trust.

So...if Boogie had played much better recently he wouldn't be available for the minimum on a non-guaranteed deal.

I have a hard time with quibbles about taking a flier on him at that price. Seems worth checking out what he can do next to Giannis and with Suki in his corner.

On the flipside, if Lopez's back is shot and we need a reliable big who can clock more than 10-15 mins per game, then it might be more of a desperation move in the wake of what could turn out to be a catastrophic decision letting Tucker walk.

I guess I don't see Tucker/Portis as a viable 5 option either. Would force Giannis to continue playing major minutes at the 5 and we would get destroyed inside for the 10 minutes he isn't out there.

So when are we gonna make the Boogie signing official? I want to see him play tomorrow night vs. the Hornets. They have zero big man, so would big a good game for him to get his feet wet.

I don't think PJ could ever have been the guy to step in if Brook went down for the season. Too small. Boogie may now be just a guy who never fully recovered from a ruptured Achilles, but he didn't shrink.

Portis had only played the 5 this year, and has been awesome. The league continues to play smaller and quicker, Portis will rarely be a good fit at PF moving forward, especially in the playoffs.

The focus should be getting a worthwhile back up for Giannis.

    Return to Milwaukee Bucks
