Which is fine when a team has a Giannis, but a disaster when they don’t. We just saw it in the playoffs. That’s why I can’t believe the Pelicans would be very interested in him. Zion doesn’t rebound the ball well either.

People are sleeping on this option cuz he's not a straight FA right now. But he's ng'ed & they might have to waive him to make FA splashes. They're currently trying to see what they could get in a trade before. Teams know they have to sell cheap at best.

That's 1 aspect. You have to sacrifice something outside the elite. He can box out, body up big c's on d, rim protect, & is modern in that he can shoot, which we may need w/ Giannis. We didn't have Giannis for the last 2 playoffs. Makes Brook less valuable.

We can/should also pick up a 2 that chases boards/loose balls like Jrue, Tucker, Derrick White, etc. That's where a lot of the ancillary rebounding comes from. In the playoffs w/ Brook out there at times we still boarded well. Then switched to closers.

KP and AL but guard doesn't mean shut down. You just need guys that will bang and not give up so many easy 2s as other teams without the size to match up.

You’re making my point for me. I’m arguing Brook isn’t a traditional center because a team needs a Giannis level glass cleaner next to him. That’s just not something a traditional center should require.

We shouldn’t discuss him as a “traditional center” trade asset, because he isn’t one.

Bucks are going to compete for home court next season, but my question for you guys is about next off-season (2025). Will we have more money to make moves? Maybe this season is more about keeping the boat afloat until there's money to play with.

Or are we stuck wearing aprons or whatever you guys are talking about for the near future?
