When I see the board talk about improving defense and effort or whatnot by trading Dame and/or Khris and see names thrown around like McCollum, Grant, Mathurin, LaVine, Poole, White, Fox, Reaves, Hunter, etc

Some of those names aren't like the others.

Some of you guys just need to admit that you’re fine with blowing it up and moving on from the Giannis era. At least then some of these trade proposals for other poverty franchises’ role players and B tier “shot creators” actually make sense.

Defensive metrics are definitely flawed in cases but meh, here's DBPM right now. Can find basically every name thrown around here in one entire bottom of the league grouping.

Houston isn’t touching that. Anything that brings us Eason will involve Dame.

You sure? Smith is injured, and Eason has stayed on his regular 22 mpg role. Amen Thompson is clearly ready for a bigger role. Whitmore is trying to get a role. He just has no chance of a bigger role there.

I'd like the Bucks to sign Branden Carlson to Robbins 2 way slot. Carlson's 2nd 10 day contract with OKC team out yesterday. He's had nice minutes with them. Agile, and he can shoot.

I think we should probably be prepared that, sans Pat and maybe Bobby, this team will be back mostly intact after the deadline. Khris' up and down play after another surgery recovery, a dearth of picks due to years of using everything for minor tinkering, and the **** second apron have kinda hamstrung what this team can do.

Such a relief, even though I don't believe we were really pursuing him.

Naw, get rid of Dame instead. Butler is garbage.

Both these things can be true:

1. We NEED a move or two to seriously contend.
2. It doesn't NEED to be a major one or a blow-up.

People don't need to be hyperbolic just because there are flaws in the team. Like, one of our problems is we can't rebound. That doesn't require a core player. Neither does a big who can defend on the perimeter. Or a 3&d wing.

This team has come into the season the last 2 w/ glaring flaws among the role players, and it's a matter of properly addressing at the deadline, or not.

As far as if they could trade Middleton or Dame, it depends on the right deal coming along. We could do the Butler thing, or Dame for a younger core guy & good role player. Or we could fill 1 or 2 of the glaring role needs and run w/ that.

We just can't do nothing significant, nor a blow-up, like of multiple core players midseason, especially if 1 is Giannis. That's reactionary, definitely not helping this season, & probably not for the future.

Brook's just as much of a problem as Khris, if not more

if he doesn't camp 30 feet from the hoop on O, every missed bucket turns into a guaranteed transition opportunity for the other team

If Khris plays like that, he's more of a solution than a problem. If you throw out the back-to-back, which doesn't happen in the playoffs, it's 3 of 4 good games for Khris. You'd take that in May.

As for Brook, he's become progressively more of a problem. There are less situations where he's effective & some nights he just isn't regardless of the match-up. And it's dangerous having Doc as his coach, because he's old-fashioned he has to play 2 bigs, & he has a blind trust in vets. You'd trust Bud more to push the right buttons.

At minimum Brook needs to be moved back to 3rd big, w/ Bobby traded for an athletic big, & then additionally we should do something like Marjon for Reath for a 4th big. But at this point, I'm fine w/ Brook being the 1 moved too.

Dame tried for a week when his All Star spot was in jeopardy, since he made it he's shut it back down. That's all he cares about, he doesn't give a rats behind about winning. Get that clown out of here
