Probably because they drafted Nik.

They drafted Stauskas when McLemore was the player coming off the underwhelming rookie season, not during the extremely promising sophomore season.

Both Hardaway and Shump would be very big upgrades for us over Kendal Marshall. If the team relied on one person running the offense and setting others up, then yeah, Marshall makes sense. But the Bucks and Kidds system does not rely on a single player to run the offense. We are constantly in motion, and able to shoot off of any pass from any player.

What?
THJ have you seen him play? He doesn't play any defence or rebound he just shoots and ballhogs. And to give them a young center and on top of that a second?
The Shumpert offer is even worse since we will have to pay him straight away and he will probably demand more than he is worth to stay here. No thanx.

Why has everyone given up on Henson? Do people think that young centers like Henson are a dime a dozen? Especially where we draft? Especially since we don't even know if we will keep Sanders?

You must have a lot of confidence in Zaza.

We can play JoB at Center for 5-10 minutes, or even sign Radulijca if needed.

I guess I more so just realize Henson is nowhere near a part of this team, so why not capitalize on him now? I also still think Larry will find a way to get on the court for at least 30 minutes per game by the end of the season, meaning Zaza is only getting 18mpg, which is about where he should be at this point of his career.

They wont get rid of anyone. Our best hope is that their owner demonstrates his stupidity when it comes to basketball decisions once again and is dazzled by Knight's stats.

Two things majorly wrong with your post:

1 - THJ is on the Knicks, even Chandler did not play defense on the Knicks.

2 - Why do we have to pay Shump? What makes you think he is getting more than 3-4m annually?

I'd be for Henson for THJ. Shumpert sucks though.

I'd take Shumpert as a three and D dude.

What makes you think that if he leaves the Knicks he will suddendly learn to play defence when he has never demonstrated that he can play defence? or do anything than jack up shots?
Of course we will have to pay Shumpert to get him to stay in Milwauke and someone will give more than 4 to him . Not to mention that next year he will be 25 already.

Throw in Ersan for Williams. That would address alot of their problems.

If he doesn't want to be paid too much yeah. He's the kind of guy who'd do well flying around the court in Kidd's defense. If we are keeping Larry we need to take some pressure off him from the perimeter plus we could play Giannis defensively at PF more often with a competent wing defender.

Staukas? for Knight. He's really fast and they need a cherry picker apparently. :D

AND he fits the owner's crazy plan. I'd probably ask for their pick rather than that underwhelming shooter.

I'd rather have the pick too but I'd maybe take a flyer on either McLemore or Staukas for Knight.

I look at it like this. At least it gets us out of a certain bad contract with Knight (and maybe watching him start another year due to a big contract) and you get a young prospect.

Not a chance in hell we get McLemore unless we are talking about trading Giannis or Parker. We always overrate our players and underrate how teams value their players.

I think Hardaway is a grass is always greener on the other side kind of deal. When Melo thinks you shoot too much and don't play any defense that is a major red flag to me. That being said, I'd take him over Waiters, but would rather be on the look out for a younger bigger Mayo. A guy that is multi dimensional would be a better fit in Kidds offense. I don't know that Hardaway gives you much more than Middleton.

I'd rather pay Middleton 6-8m a year (if he even gets that much) than give up assets for Hardaway. He has one dimension to his game and he's not anywhere near elite at that dimension. I like Shumpert way more as a player and don't even like him that much.

Love the Zaza for Felton/Ledo/2015 2nd idea. Ledo's the type of guy we talk about when we hope that our veterans can turn into young assets with upside. I think the Mavs would be totally for it too.

I'd rather Waiters than Hardaway for the exact reason you mentioned. Waiters is just as capable a scorer as Hardaway, but he's also a talented passer and defender when he tries to be. I don't think there's any potential for that in Hardaway, whereas Dion at least gives you a chance.

Not advocating acquiring either of them, but I would definitely prefer Waiters if forced to choose.

Since the Sixers are always trading people to get worse, I wonder if we offered them our 1st this year and Henson for Embiid or Carter Williams. Seriously though the draft this year sucks unless you have 1 or 2, we might as well trade it for something
