Not following Houston. Is there any reason he doesn't get any minutes?

Can't be sure but my guess is it's because his ball skills (other than passing, where he's ok) are way below NBA standards.

Bucks have 33 games left.
Trade deadline is Thursday February 10th

are we still willing to move any combination of Donte, Nwora, Hood, Semi picks,
for a piece ?

imo, i think we still need a C or 2.
and a 3rd PG would be nice.

but now that its late in the season, idk about making major changes.
especially, since that player we get will only be a bench role, and based on the $ we can send out, the return doesnt seem like someone that can have a huge impact.

I e
Wouldnt trade low on Donte and I'd probably hold Nwora since he wont fetch much. If a bench piece is what we want Donte would likely match that potential

A Thaddeus Young buyout feels like the most realistic scenario. I can't see any way he stays in San Antonio past the deadline, and I can't see any team ponying up $14M worth of contracts to bring him over. And realistically, he's closest we're the going to get to finding the kind of player we really need.

Everyone is going to want Young if he gets bought out, but he would be perfect.

Cleveland can dangle the expiring Rubio contract, and attach 2nds. Not something they'd do now, but if they dealt Love in a 3 way to land John Wall, then adding Young makes sense.

Dont blame bud too much. I get trying to play D on it but if its that bad you don't try running down the court on offense. Wes probably initially thought he could run it out, as well. Hell, sometimes the best thing is to keep playing on it*

*no idea if this is an old wives tale?

We've seen Wes walk it off before, so it wouldn't surprise me if he told the bench he didn't need to come out initially, but he was very obviously in a lot of pain.

Hated amari for that play , totally changed Boguts career. Didn't look like much but the subtle push in the back was enough that Bogut lost control . So yeah , Stoudamire should shut the he'll up!

Yep. Probably a total pipe dream since Young is probably an actual asset, and so somebody should give up something good for him. But he would be better than almost any trade we could organize.

The whole league was way past ready to have a reason to paint the Bucks as villains. Giannis’ wholesome Disney schtick made it hard for them to date.

I’m sure the Bucks knew the risks when we acquired such an easily hateable player in Grayson. And he walked in to the absolute worst parts of his reputation with one of the least likely fanbases to handle it with any sense of proportion.

All that said the Bucks could use some more edge anyways! Media narratives don’t necessarily impact what happens on the court either.

No one gives a **** except Bulls fans at this point. Morris hasn't played since he got shoved, and literally no one brings it when it comes to Jokic.

The Bucks probably partially were able to get him for below what his true on court value is because some GMs thought of him as the Duke guy that tripped people while ignoring that he is actually a high volume, high percentage three point shooter with some decent ability to attack close outs, is excellent in the open court, and hustles every moment he is in the court.

The Bucks knew DDV was out well past the start of the season and any guy that was within their price range to sign (minimum contract) wanted to sign with LAL or the Nets, so they took a chance on a guy who would fit well as the fifth option in the starting lineup.

Grayson has easily exceeded the value they traded for him.

If the rest of the league wants to make the Bucks into heels for one questionable play, I don’t really care. Bucks were going to be vilified after they repeat this year anyways. Success breeds contempt.

A big that would look really good with this Bucks team is Nicolas Batum. Think he’d fit in any combination with Brook, Bobby and Giannis.

Is Covington not good anymore? I feel like he could be a guy we could get pretty easily and would provide some solid wing defense and help take some of the load off Giannis/Khris.

Not a bad thought. Would prefer to add some more athleticism, but he fits the mold of our typical deadline acquisitions. I would try to sneak Hartenstein in there as well. Winslow is a possible reclamation project that they might pay us to take on. Hood/Ojeleye for Winslow/2nd works, but ideally:

MKE: Batum, Hartenstein
LAC: Hood, Ojeleye, MKE '23 2nd, IND '25 2nd

Holiday / Hill
Allen / DiVincenzo
Middleton / Connaughton / Matthews
Giannis / Batum
(Lopez) / Portis / Hartenstein
