Haliburton is the better player at this point, but I still think LaMelo would have been insanely fun in the Warriors system.

To me, that draft was a decision between LaMelo and Hali at the top; can't believe so many teams messed it up.

I dunno, maybe he'll be fine, but he's always looked kind of clueless to me. Wasn't worth arguing with big market fans, though. Went down that road with THT - not worth it

He was just so bad on G-League Ignite. He exceeded my expectations significantly his rookie season.

Interesting games tonight:

Cavs at Pistons - 2 up and coming teams, Cleveland is a year or two ahead of Detroit

Knicks at Sixers - Knicks on their way to another treadmill season at 3-4. The Doc watch is on in Philly (4-5), now without Harden (and who knows about Embiid)

Celtics at Bulls (ESPN)

Warriors at Pelicans - Warriors reeling with 4 straight losses.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I'm wondering whether the Nuggets enter the KD sweepstakes.

Michael Porter Jr. looking so great puts them in play in a different kind of way if they want to be.

If I'm Denver I'd be wondering whether now is the last best chance to maximize his trade value before another injury happens. Different situations of course but the Bucks blew it by not taking that tact with Jabari.

If confidence is king, it’s a good thing Nuggets sniper Michael Porter Jr. isn’t lacking.

The Nuggets’ forward has been excellent to start the season, connecting on almost 49% of his nearly eight 3-point attempts per game. Among volume shooters, including Steph Curry, Damian Lillard and Kyrie Irving, Porter’s percentage ranks second in the NBA.

What’s more astounding than his efficiency, though, is his belief in himself.

“Fifty percent (from) three, to me, is not an unrealistic number,” Porter said after practice on Tuesday. “I’m not saying that that’s easy to do, but I missed a lot of shots that I feel like I should make, and I’m at 50%. … I think in high school I shot like 75% from 3. Like, literally.”

Perhaps the wildest part about his start – 18.5 points per game, 7.5 rebounds – is that he’s only six games removed from his third back surgery. While some of his explosiveness has returned, he estimated it’d be 15 or 20 games before he was back to feeling like himself.

In other words, he’s only getting better.

Warriors messed up big time not taking LaMelo for sure, I think he's good in any system. Project big like Wiseman was always a head scratcher

Since he apologized, I assume Kyrie is only out 5 games. The sixth game? Sunday Night Primetime against the Slow Time Lakers!

These guys think they get paid $50m a year for their ability to put a leather ball in to a metal orange cylinder.

tbf to KD they asked him a question on everything that had happened the last week and seemed pretty upset about it overall if you watch the clip, I don't think he was defending Kyrie so much as he wasn't jumping onto the dogpile because absolutely as a basketball player the whole situation sucks and it sucks as a fan too. Shut up and dribble is still a good mantra to me, the NBA soap opera is never ending.

I am happy our Bucks are drama free, or if not they deal with everything inside the locker room.

There was a time, do to espn’s mega overexposure of Lebron, that I found Durant to be the more likable of the two. But jeez.. he’s become everything I hated about Lebron (getting coaches fired, endless self promotion, forming a super team, balding, crying about the media despite having enormous media support, etc) but probably at a more insufferable level.

Weird to think that the most unique historic thing about Giannis might not be his freakish skillset and yearly improvement but rather his humility.

I was 100% on board until "balding."

Warriors load managing at 3-6. Guess they truly don’t care even if it means going through a playin game or two.
