Still want mo bamba. 10-15 mins of rim protection and spacing. I also think there’s still a slight sliver of hope that in the right system you could unlock something more.

Bucks throwing Nehm a bone with the Umude news.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

There we go. So basically... If we could get under the 2nd apron, we would have the option to convert this guy to a multi year standard contract using our tpmle. We could also just sign him with the tpmle next off-season but would be competing other teams.

I think if it becomes obvious that his shooting numbers are real, we need to explore getting him on a longer contract very persistently

Yep, whether that's Bamba or Wiseman. Take a chance on a reclamation project like Brook was back in 2018.

I just feel like his teammates probably get annoyed by him but i could be wrong

Anyway, if Pat comes back fir a bench role im fine with it, but we need a better starter.

same was with tucker but our guys are soft that way... thats the whole point. they need a dawg type on the roster or they get pushed around. they are all naturally nice guys. meek even. the tough guy act from portis and the bitching to the refs by lopez is kind of the closest thing we get to showing any real energy and pizazz.

bring bev back. id love to have him again

Team rebounding percentage in that Pacers series.

Brook ON: 51%
Brook OFF: 50%

Bobby was +8.5

Bobby On: 52.5%
Bobby Off: 44%

Unless you have some different numbers, that isn't true.

You mixed up the ON and OFF ratings for Bobby. They were 8.5% REB worse.

Buddy, you’re looking at the opponent percentage. Look at team. It’s +8.5

Now this is something that may lend credence to the theory the Bucks will be making a move to get under the 2nd apron. Because it's a real investment, especially at 25, to not play in the playoffs & play for cheap, for at least a yr.

Maybe they carry 14 guaranteed contracts. That puts them 4-5m above the 2nd apron. Get below w/ a Brook or Bobby & Pat deal (that I think would have to be individual). Then have the flexibility to add Umude or whoever.

Or are we stuck wearing aprons or whatever you guys are talking about for the near future?

Looking at their cap, if they bring everyone back except brook (who is expiring) and not pick up marjon's option they have 15 mil under 1st apron to use per sport trac. but im not sure how accurate that website is.

Ah, you right (but I ain't your Buddy, guy). The "Brook is a bad rebounder stuff" just isn't true though. We have a decade's worth of data proving that his teams are better at rebounding when he's on the floor. And last season was no different.

Take it for a grain of salt but Gery says Jabari Parker is meeting with the Bucks, Bulls, & Suns about coming back to the NBA

That would be Gery's wet dream.

Gery had an in with Jabari I think so he might know something here. If he's actually in shape he probably can't be any worse than Bobby if we have a trade lined up for him(this might be a new level of cope for me).

Oh, I think he can be a lot worse than Bobby.

A couple odds and ends:

1) Brook's value is not on the rebounding end. When he was out for the entire 21-22 regular season, the Bucks were second in the league in rebounding. They were first last year and a respectable 8th this year. His value is as an elite drop defender. When he was out, the defense tanked. Due mainly to Bud continuing to play the drop without Brook. You could make the case there are more rebounds when he does his job well, but his value is before the shot is taken.

2) Not enamored with the Ham rehiring. Friends in LA told me he was out of his league on x's and o's. Good chemistry guy, but as the lead assistant (whatever that means), I don't want him drawing up plays.

3) I see no one on the Lakers I want in return that could be available for Brook.

4) This is a run it back roster. The key thing is keeping the top three healthy and the #1 priority is limiting Giannis's attacking the basket from the top of the key. His body is wearing out. Work on the low post game and passing out of the post.

5) I don't see who you can get for Bobby that is of equal value, except below.

6) I'd figure out how to get Suggs. He's about to break out. Bobby, a future first and whatever young Bucks they want.

Have watched both those guys and they really suck. The difference is that Brook was never a reclamation project. He was a former all-star and 20ppg guy.
