Yep. We missed the boat on Bmac. Maybe could've happened during or after the draft. Now he's looking like a stud. I am not that down on Stauskas. Who knows what a change of scenery and consistent playing time would do for him. I college he was an efficiency master and cold blooded killer. Exact type of player/situation we should be aiming for. Sacramento is apparently desperate for a playoff run. With one of our young studs down for awhile we need to start making smart moves for the future. Keeping Knight and most likely matching an albatross is not smart.

Their owner is Kohl II. PPGZ don't you know.

AND he fits the owner's crazy plan. I'd probably ask for their pick rather than that underwhelming shooter.

I don't think their owner is Kohl.

He's trying to be Mark Cuban right after he took over the Mavs. Except instead of Dirk they have Boogie.

This 4 on 5 defense thing is probably doomed, but before seeing it in action most people would have thought Don Nelson or D'Antoni were insane for trying the systems they ran and had success with.

Philadelphia relies heavily on Embiid.

If Sixers select Okafor, I would try to negotiate for Noel

Weird. They could probably get one for a couple bucks at Goodwill if they looked around.

Seriously, it should be a given that the Sixers would jump on that deal.

The Kings franchise being so win now seems to mark a ripe situation for some team to take advantage of.

We waited too long to acquire McLemore. Stauskas could be the same kind of deal, where he's not helping them win now so is available for the right price.

Sacramento first round picks also would be great of course.

Noel is basically Sanders.. All rim protection nothing else. And NO to MCW .. his shooting is awful

Duh for embiid but obviously sixers need much more than that to budge..

What do we think Zaza's trade value is like these days?

That's a little generous. Noel might become Sanders one day. His only above-average skill is rim protection but don't mistake that for being elite at it.

And as slight as Sanders is, he can still body up the Big Als/Boogies respectably. Noel is nowhere near that point.

I'll keep banging the drum on Stauskas like I did with Schroder and McLemore last year. Also, Gobert, who will admittedly be difficult to get, but you never know. Maybe they would consider Knight+Henson for him, which I would do. I would also do Knight + Sanders. Really, any combination of players on our roster except for Giannis + Jabari + 1st round picks.

And hell no to Waiters.

Yeah it would be great to hone in on Nik while people are convinced that his poor first year shooting indicates that he'll suck forever. Despite the guy ahead of him on the depth chart showing why that thinking is for simpletons.

How about Knight / Zaza for Stauskas / McCallum / Williams?

Could also see a scenario swapping out Williams for Landry if the Bucks need to sweeten the deal.

Generally thinking about how Sacramento might really value a steady veteran presence like Pachulia behind Cousins.

If they prefer Henson I'd do that too, though considering their goal is win now (to the extent of firing their coach), Zaza seems more likely to be their target.

Ok so i ve been thinking. We have a big need for a pg and you know how people say that the pg position is so deep.Well it doesn t mean that the starting caliber pgs are available for trade

Given that the EC is really really bad and Mudiay is out of the question while no other pgs excite me i figured this trade

NOP in :Knight,Mayo,Ersan
Bucks in:Holiday,Gordon

Now before you say how Gordon is probably one of the worst contracts ever it doesn t really matter...He is an expiring next year and he ll be off the books while we get a 24yo pg and NOP gets what it needs the most.Hell i ll even give them Zaza for Jimmer to make a deal

Plus for us:We get our PG of the future and a guy that expires just in time for Giannis to get his extension and the tank train is on which means we land a better prospect in this year s draft...

Plus for NOP:They get more depth and stay alive in the playoff hunt.

I don't think they would do that. Depending on the specifics I might be able to be talked into sanders/knight for Stauskas+pick given the amount of first round centers in this upcoming draft (Okafor, Towns, Turner, kaminsky, , Cauley-stein, Porzingis off the top of my head).

Trade Targets

Post#797 » by ZeppelinPage » Sat Dec 20, 2014 10:53 pm

Hell no to giving up our pick. A young team like us needs to keep our 1st rounders and possibly trade for more. We already have Clippers 2018 pick, if we can add more young players around Giannis and Parker and see who pans out we'll be looking good.

If we trade our pick we'll be no better than the Pelicans. If we want to add players dont give up picks or go for free agents.

I know they're high on Gobert but with Kanter looking much improved and their investment in him as a top 5 pick, and Favors (contract), maybe they would look at pairing Knight with Exum as their backcourt of the future. I would be all over that. If they wanted a young big, I would throw in Henson to get it done. I would then consider Sanders expendable and you could probably get Stauskas for him.

Giannis/Jabari/Gobert/Stauskas is about as promising a U22 core you could hope for.
