With Detroit possibly trading that pick, I could see him dropping if he isn't selected at 12. I'd be pretty damn happy if we landed him, definitely in my top 3 of players that could be available there.

So Mitchell would play the 1 for us, correct? Would he be off ball or bringing the ball up the court?

My guess is that he switches roles with Brogdon.
Mitchell offensively SG and defensively PG.
But saw him working well splitting the defs on high PnR... he could play some point but not full time.

I think a SG that can play a little point is all we need. Even if we lose Snell we have Brogdon, Delly, Mitchell, Terry, and Vaughn with Midds able to play SG sometimes and Giannis at point forward

Can we please not talk about Mitchell? I've finally come to grips with the fact that he won't be there at 17. I don't need to get my hopes up, only to get them crushed, again.

He has the size and skill set you like, as well as the footspeed and ballhandling ability. He needs to be more aggressive and improve as a defensive player. I’d think most people would take him over Lydon.”

I personally think DJ is going to be a bust. But even if he isn't, I would love to add more physical and mental toughness to this team, and when I look at DJ I see a guy that I think is Henson soft.

I've seen tons of mocks with Ike going to us. I wonder if people heard stuff at the combine, etc.

Having made a promise to someone, would make sense as to why we are working out zero first round prospects despite being in the middle of this draft.

But with a new GM, you have to think all bets are off.

Justin Jackson at #21 makes a lot more sense than #16 or earlier.Needless to say I wouldn't want him on the Bucks.

Knowing the Bucks they feel that this pick is not a big deal since our roster is pretty much set.

I noticed the same and was thinking the same. I know we went into detail with Ike on how exactly he would be used. I believe we really liked Deyonta Davis' game last year but not his character. Ike seems to be loved in interviews, unlike Davis. And we really need toughness and brute strength under the rim.

Seth Davis in his article from 2 pages ago says Ike is not working out with anyone due to his meniscus tear and knee issues. Those are 100% from the past I believe. I wonder if Ike has a promise and that is why he is not working out with teams. I think we are very interested.

Also, for what it's worth, my dad is a Badger and UCLA Bruin allum. He follows UCLA basketball religiously and likes Ike better than Leaf as a NBA prospect. He was very disappointed to see Ike declare. He noted despite Leaf's production that Ike has more potential due to rim protection, sneaky athleticism for his size, and is a year and a half younger than Leaf. Also mentioned his slight meniscus tear holding him back early in the year.

Just watched the Donovan Mitchell workout interview on DX. LOVE that dude. Neck and neck right now with Ike at the top of my board (of people that might be there)

He and Brog make a pretty good 1/2 combo, but when Brog isn't in, you can easily run the offense through Giannis, Middleton or even Jabari. I have zero fit concerns with his ability to defend and the versatility of offense.

More chatter about Ball not wowing the Lakers at his workout. Not really that surprising IMO. I still have him as the 6th-7th best prospect in this class.
