Re: Bledsoe to the Bucks For Monroe/#1 - POLL ADDED
All this team needs is a tall, athletic C to pair with a Brog, Bledsoe, Middleton, Giannis lineup. If Jabari stays with the team, then I think he's almost like Monroe/Super Beasley, and plays essentially starter minutes off the bench.
Would love to pry away someone like Dedmon, Willie, or even O'Quinn to pair with our current starters.

i dont see any game stats for him.
do the Hawks still have him?
G-league or over seas?
Kaba is overseas playing extremely well for ASVEL (Tony Parker's team) in Pro A.

I believe they'd be able to trade it surrounding the conditions to PHX. As in if in a year it's owed to PHX if #10-16, we could then trade it it lands elsewhere. But maybe I'm wrong. If not, maybe it's best that they underachieve this year and get it out of the way, as long as we also get a new coach in the process due to the underachieving.
No, they can't do that, because they could end up being on the hook for 2 in a row.
But you could couch the conditions around *when* the pick is conveyed to Phoenix.
No. You cannot. If they have the #1 seed and its clear the pick won't be conveyed we still cannot trade it because if the prior obligation could be conveyed to PHO NEXT year that makes for two in a row. We CANNOT TRADE a 1st until 2023 or until two years after it is conveyed.
This is a big deal and removes a LOT of flexibility. Flexibility we need given the roster.
I still love the deal but this is a big drawback and it has largely been ignored to this point.

I'll say again, yes we can. Between the draft and July 1st (And I agree with you that that limits our options for sure). Unless something has changed that I'm unaware of. We'd just draft a guy for someone instead of actually trading the pick.

Yes. You can. The solution is in your reply. You set it two years from when the pick is conveyed to Phoenix.

That's another simple way. Although a lot of teams aren't that patient.

We're gonna see center Giannis a lot more and it's gonna be awesome. Bledsoe-Brog-Snell-Mids-Giannis is so sick.

I actually love the way Henson is playing. But a series against Char (D12)/Det (Drummond)/Tor (Val)/Phi (Embiid)/Mia (Whiteside) could get messy with two undersized "centers".
Keep in mind, Henson has a history of wearing out at 25 min. If he goes down we have to put Giannis there for LOooooong minutes to take bruises. I really don't understand why they couldn't have gotten Pho to add Chandler while we add Telly. If we needed to loosen the protections so be it. But our roster is woefully out of balance now.
Giannis can play min when other 4s slide to 5. But I can't have him fighting with Kanter for 20 min a game.

That stuff was done 20 years ago. I mean we obviously don't know for sure, but Ortho surgeons aren't stupid. They're going to leave as much cushioning in there as they can.

Po-tay-to ; po=tah=to
Do you really think getting a rebuilding team to take on our **** for a pick 5 years from now is going to cut it?
Do you want to trade picks, for pennies on the $, in years past Giannis' contract? Can you imagine Giannis leaving and we had traded away a top 3 pick to dump Delly?

Monroe chose the Bucks over the Knicks in large part because he had a better chance to win in Milwaukee.
At that point in his career he had never been to the playoffs.
But now Moose has after last season.
I don't think his feelings will be too raw.

Horst deserves credit for this--a great trade for the team.
Kidd will have no excuses now if he can't get this to work.

I have officially gone from thinking this team had the worst management/coach/owner situation to now thinking we might just be bottom 5. Keep it up Horst you are not quite the worst.

Even then there are two in each knee (obv not saying this for your benefit, but to explain my annoyance). The way Deveney is talking about it it's just clear he has no idea what the structures are.
From the contemporaneous reporting, it seems like he's had repairs in both knees (R-2011, L-2015) and had a small minor meniscectomy on the right in 2014. No idea the combination of medial or lateral injuries; they never report that level of detail.
The "half a meniscus between both knees" is an absurd claim and based on a radical lack of understanding of the structures and procedures involved. Nobody takes that much and he'd be damn near ready for a full replacement if they had.

Re: Bledsoe to the Bucks For Monroe/#1 - POLL ADDED
If the Bucks give Jabari the qualifying offer for the 2018/2019 season, one of 3 things will happen:
1.) Jabari will accept the offer and bet on himself to play at all star level next year to receive a max offer the following year by either the Bucks or another team.
2.) He decides to become a restricted free agent and proceeds to receive a max offer from another team, forcing the Bucks to either match or let him go.
3.) Same as number 2, but the offer received will be closer to 4 year / $72 million. In this scenario, the Bucks will likely be able to match without having to go too much over the luxury tax (even with the Bledsoe deal).
IMO, I think Scenario No. 3 has a higher chance of occurring than the other 2. The big question will be if Jabari will take a $72 million type deal or risk losing everything if he suffers a 3rd leg injury. My gut tells me that he'll test the market to see if anyone bites, but decide to sign a lesser qualifying offer, which will be matched by the Bucks. Perhaps the 4th year will be a player option.
