Try to put yourself in a woman's shoes. If you went to an event where the audience was predominantly female and there were good looking, scantily clad men dancing for your pleasure, then you would get the feeling that this event was not for you.

All-female cheerleaders dressing and dancing sexy just emphasizes that this event is for men. It's exclusionary and unnecessary.

does everything have to be for everybody?

Welcome to the aftermath of participation trophies...

Hours after the last chord was struck by the Zac Brown Band at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, deconstruction kicked into gear Wednesday.

Workers from Lemberg Sign of Brookfield begin removing signage from the tower at the corner of N. 4th and W. State St. First to go were the BMO Harris signs at the top of the tower.

Workers said they would be taking down the sponsorship signs all day, moving to the signs over the southeast entrance once the tower was stripped.

The last event at the 30-year-old Bradley Center was held Tuesday night, a concert that concluded the annual convention of Northwestern Mutual agents. About 12,000 agents from around the country attended the 138th annual meeting.

The Bradley Center will be demolished as the Milwaukee Bucks move into their new $524 million home next door. In the days ahead, the Bucks will take control over the Bradley Center site and oversee the demolition.

The Bucks hired Veit & Co. Inc., a Minneapolis firm with a New Berlin office, to dismantle the facility.

Last month, the Bradley Center sold off a collection of memorabilia that it owns, including instruments autographed by artists such as Prince. The auction raised about $160,000, and the money will be used to help shut down the facility.

Meanwhile, the Bucks donated equipment and furnishings from the Bradley Center to the electrical workers union, Habitat for Humanity and Milwaukee Public Schools.

The Bradley Center was a $90 million gift to the community by the late Jane Bradley Pettit, who made the donation in the memory of her father, Harry Lynde Bradley, co-founder and chairman of the Allen-Bradley Co. The company is now Rockwell Automation.

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Your new arena is my new PC screen pic.
I think it's amazing. You guys deserve it and the team deserves it.
I wish it will be much helpful not only for sports activities but for your community in general.
The most modern arena in US along with the most modern training facilities.....i think that the ownership did it's best for the team on that particular subject.
Congratulations to all of you. Go bucks!

Nah. The women I know aren't uptight and/or have inferiority complex.

From the perspective of trying to make the most money possible, the answer is yes.

So they are counting on extra revenue from women who are interested in basketball (rare), and were previously not buying tickets because they were offended, but an extra inch of skirt will put them over the top.

What's that revenue worth? 3 dollars?

I don't buy the revenue angle on this piece alone. Are any more women going to go now that the cheerleaders are wearing more clothing? I can't imagine a group of girls having the convo:

"Hey girls, should we go to a Bucks game tonight?" "Sure, the cheerleaders aren't dressed like tramps anymore... let's go!"

At the same time, is this going to stop guys from going? Again, I doubt it.

"Hey, you guys wanna go to the Bucks game tonight?" "Nah, the cheerleaders wear too much clothing now, **** that!"

When is the block party? If they don't announce it then they don't have anyone for the naming rights.

There hasn't been much talk of selling things out of the BC. I don't know why they wouldn't.

Nah. The women I know aren't uptight and/or have inferiority complex.

It starts in high school, with the girls' "dance team" performing at halftime. They would perform at boys' and girls' sporting events, but predominantly boys'. Point being, the girls that did it (usually) had a passion for dancing, and I think plenty of women enjoy the Bucks dance team if they have a passion for dancing, which many women have or have had at some point in life. I would argue that the women are paying more attention than the men most of the time, save for the dusty, greasy old man boner dudes.

They are going to hire this guy. He's going to walk on stage and there will be this big white blank canvas.

You aren't going to believe this! But He's actually going to walk on the stage and start PAINTING!
