Dumb question: What's the most cap space the Bucks have had during your fandom and how did they spend it?

100% Bucks panicked and didn't have plan B. They threw that contract at Pat without thinking things through. Now we end up with this. Shocked yet not surprised at all. Lets pray Giannis signs supermax.

I think if everyone plays same as last year we are 3rd-4th best team in the league.
A "contender".

That's kind of a big deal... not massive but it's not nothing either.

No. We are better for a variety of reasons. But this year doesn't matter to me unless Giannis signs the supermax soon.

Just no idea why they gave him even more money and an extra year though?? From 4.15m a year to 5.33m a year.

uhhh.... because they told him they were gonna move him with the new deal?

hey pat... how about an extra 4 mil to use you as a trade chip buddy.... hows that sound to you?

You’ll remember the big summer of 1996. Kohl was ready to spend in that record FA class. Shaquille, GP, Davis Brothers.

We were in on everyone according to the nascent internet. And ended up with a 3/$9 deal for the late Armen Gilliam (RIP) towards the end of July.

what's the roster now?

Jrue, Augustine, DDV, Middleton, Portis, Giannis, Lopez I count about 7 nba players, 8 if we count Pat and we will fill the roster with people like Thanasis, Wilson, Mason and some rookie second rounders

Jrue, Giannis could leave in a year without getting anything back

we gave most of our draft picks for the foreseeable future

we don't have any young players apart from DDV. We don't have anybody signed in a bargain contract that can be used as a trade asset

GM keeps making childish mistakes, Owners are stingy and what worries them most of all is if they pay any luxury tax and the silver lining of having a limited roster is that it will force the coach to play the good players more.

things don't look good

Well yeah, supposedly. I hope he's in a trade for someone good.

People here seem to be losing faith that will happen though.

I wanna believe there is a plan, and Hollinger and the naysayers will be eating crow soon enough.

Really I do.

But it’s the Bucks so am preparing for the worst.

I don't know off the top of my head, but I'm guessing the answer is either Bobby Simmons or Brook Lopez.

A respected big name GM wouldn’t tolerate Alex and Marc being in on the moves in the war room. So no, it isn’t going to get any better here.

Sure, but how nice is that fabled GM?

At the end of the day we're are in a better spot to compete for a Title than last year. Jrue is a huge upgrade over Eric. DDV can be better than Wes. DJ < Hill. Portis > Ersan IMO, if we're talking about ceiling i think Portis has higher upside and can offer a few more things than Ersan. Everything else is a wash or not even worth talking about. We are title contenders THIS year. As for the future.....if Giannis doesn't sign.... **** everything then lol.

Imagine a world where the Bucks brought Morey back to Wisconsin this summer.

We could have even let Horst and whoever else keep their jobs like Elton Brand did.

But no we went another way.

No the Bucks are not title contenders this year. This roster is not going to even come out of the East, let alone contend for the title.
