OK so I've now watched this rather than just reading about it, it was actually a pretty good interview.

Not casting aspersions in any way on our newly 'copy-pasted by US media' mogul Stopshere, but I have to say he didn't seem as 'doom and gloom' when actually watching him as perhaps the transcript made it appear. He did open up by saying he was confident he would be ready for the season and that the elbow had definitely 'freed up' in his time in Europe and didn't really start to go into the negative side of things until they showed the incident.

I think he'll be OK.

I want to say he came back about 2 weeks ago, I'll do some digging and find it

EDIT: 10 days ago he went back to Australia, so sometime longer than 10 days ago he was in Europe shooting, he wasn't necessarily shooting on his last day there, he was in Europe for about a month IIRC.

He was in Croatia holidaying and visiting family for a couple of weeks - bases himself there for a part of every offseason as he has a lot of family there and loves the place and was apparently working out pretty hard ever day.

On the bright side, the number of OT topics won't stand out as much with a bevy of Bogut related hand wringing threads.

Hmmmn. Who WILL take over for Kurt Thomas? Did Ilyasova have a growth spurt over the summer? Will Jennings' FGA% go down if he has to hoist even MORE shots? How dare Hammond trade Gadzuric before making sure that Bogut was 110%?

Thanks Chuck :D
Btw theres nothing to say that this whole fluid thing didn't happen when he went to Europe soon after the season ended...and he was just telling the interviewers about that setback he had. Optimism FTW.

He wasn't shooting until his last trip to Croatia, you are looking at somewhere between 10-30 days ago that the fluid thing happened. I doubt he was shooting the day before he traveled as he would have been packing and such so realistically I would say 2-4 weeks ago is the time frame for when that happened.

Stroposphere's problem was that he clearly didn't transcribe with enough emoticons to truly convey the emotion and atmosphere of the interview. I say we get MBBOT to transcribe the next one!

I think so too, as the warm weather and to swim daily , could only be beneficial for him.
Europe could do Andrew no harm.
When you put on that jersey, the name on the front is more important then the name on the back.

Correct. This is why it didn't get any media attention in the US until it was transcribed and posted.
