8M imo is that number where you take a chance, trying to add talent but if it doesn't pan out you're not dead in the water.

Obviously you want contributions from players making this amount, but I don't think you bank your playoff hopes on it.

For us its going to be all about team and not individual. It will be about chemistry and a little luck with Henson and our rookies.

This team lacks talent. Signing a decent, perhaps even underachieving player like Mayo sure beats the alternatives of overpaying Ellis or whatever scraps are left at SG.

Count me on board with Wilson Chandler. Absolutely love him as a player.

It's no hate towards Joe Johnson. It's the hate towards the front office that Joe Johnson would be the ultimate John Hammond addition.

Really wish I could have landed him in my NBA2K13 fantasy draft where I made the most Hammond type team possible. Had to settle on the upside of JR Smith instead.

Chandler or Brewer make sense for MKE in a S&T (one would be a double S&T)

They can sign him outright. They don't need us.

I look at him as a slightly better version of Ellis. In just about every dept. Including a little bit more size, a little younger and a little more upside.

Granted not the brightest guy from a BBIQ standpoint, but we are the Bucks none the less. We aren't getting a non flawed player. Most certainly not via FA.

Has to go down as our best FA signing. How sad is that?

He's nowhere near the slasher/passer that Ellis is.

No question that Ellis was a better passer/creator for teammates, but for a SG, Mayo isn't one of those Nick Young types who never passes. He averages 3.1 assists over his career and last year was at 4.4, a career high. Clearly though, he's much to turnover prone and the stats say his defense is poor.

Doing a little research, Mayo averaged 35 minutes a game and really didnt take that many shots. Only over 20 a few times and he scored 30+ most of the time. Seems pretty efficient considering Ellis and Jennings chucking up 20 or more shots quite a few more times and scoring less. Im really happy with this deal. I think hes going to fit in great with the new system. Now we just need a real PG to run the team and a good wing like Brewer.

Hey we just shot ourselves in the foot but at least it wasn't the head.

This team still doesn't have a direction. Still is going to be .500. And we just picked up a bad player that is going to push us more towards that hell.

But at least we didn't give him that extra year or that extra million per year.

I guess as Bucks fans we have to take victories where we can. I am tired of this team. Can they just move to Seattle already?

Yea, the franchise is incredibly frustrating, but if you want to see the Bucks move to Seattle, why would you even bother still following the team, reading this forum, and posting on it.

Acquiring Wilson Chandler in a Monta Ellis deal would be a solid move. Another mid 20's player that should have his best basketball ahead of him and has proven to be a solid scorer and defender in the league.

If we could land Jeff Teague I feel like we'd be able to implement Larry Drew's ball movement oriented system and have a starting 5 where everyone is averaging double digits in scoring game in and game out. Not exciting since it is just battling our way to a 5-8th seed but should be much less annoying than watching the swag twins duke it out to be the first to jack up 20 shots each game.

Would have preferred we didn't sign him at all, but the contract wasn't as bad as I was expecting. Hope he learns how to defend and there is no way I'd pair him with Jennings.

I prefer Mayo over Ellis and save $$$. Now on to PG and SF.

True, according to the wiretap article though, some s and t possibilities have arose.
Unless they resign Brewer I don't see why they do a s and t?

Oh yeah he passes I was just saying he isn't at all dynamic. He's not forcing 3 defenders to stop his drive and kicking out or to the bucket for a an easy bucket. He's a little worse than Redick as a passer talent wise.

And I was generalizing. I can come up with more examples of how they aren't similar too.

Thank goodness I am at the bar, double fisting drinks of Johnnie Walker Black Label here in the Dominican tonight.

I don't hate this, but as PP said in the OP... What are they trying to do here?

What is their plan besides 8 Seed or Bust?

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
