I did say worst case and it would be hard for Exum to play with as low basketball IQ as MCW often does by jacking up so many dumb shots.

How good can those two be if they could not lead Kansas to a winning road record against NCAA opponents? I would think that two superior talents would dominate the college game. Instead, Kansas was sub .500 on the road last year. It only makes sense that splitting them up and putting them on less talented NBA teams would also result in a losing record.

well embiid didnt play in the tourney and parker's team got bounced in the 1st round to a 15 seed.

A different type of player succeeds on the college level. If you want to win in college it is better to have a skilled shooting pg like shabazz, trey burke, kemba, chalmers, etc., Note that Durant didn't take texas that far in the tourney either

I'd have no problems with any of the perceived top 4 at #2. It's all personal preference between them to me, none of them are much higher than the others*.

*Unless Embiid's back checks out, then he's the clear #1 you'd have to believe.

It seems like all the Exum people are Wiggins guys as well, if Wiggins goes #1 then I don't see how you take Exum as the potential boom/bust pick when you have Embiid who is superior in that aspect in every way. There is just no way to justify taking Exum at #2.

I'd guess almost 50% of the board has a big board of 1) Embiid, 2) Wiggins, 3) Exum.

That's exactly how I have it. I'm at the point now though where I'll be excited about any of the top four joining the Bucks. It would be cool to add Exum just for the sake of throwing a bone to all our Aussie fans. :)

amen. if i was philly i'd dump him while his stock was "high". i'd take almost any first rounder for him.

philly could actually make some legit moves this offseason.

draft jabari who'll prolly be their pick, get someone like tj warren at 10. sign lance stephenson

?
stephenson
warren
parker
noel

that's pretty nice looking

I'd take Exum at 2 if Wiggins is gone and Embiid's back doesn't check out.

Jeez, people really hate MCW around here lol. I think Exum will be better, but if we had MCW, I wouldn't feel the need to draft a PG at all. He's a very good young player and I think he'll only continue to get better.

People stopped paying attention to him because of how bad Philly was, but the dude averaged 17.6, 7.5, and 6.4 the last month of the regular season with 1.9 turnovers a game on 52.5% FG, 42.9% 3PT, and 75.6% FT shooting.

Once you get him to stop taking so many 3's like he did the last month, he's a stud offensively, and he'll be a stud defensively in the near future as well.

Most people don't put stock in MCW numbers because philly played a stupid fast style that no winning team will ever play. Also when you purge the entire roster of nba caliber players someone has to put up numbers. I just still think he's a crap decision maker and lacks self awareness. Same reason I didn't like him at Syracuse. He racked up volume assist numbers there but he still made **** decisions with the ball in terms of knowing when and where to move it and obviously his shot selection isn't good. He played better than I expected this year though but I still see him as an Iman Shumpert type more than an actual point guard who controls pace and tempo well. Good defensive guard but you want to limit how much responsibility he has offensively to make him most effective.

I think he played right where I expected outside of that fluke 10 game stretch. Crap shooter, crap decision makes, bigger than most other point guards so he got a decent amount of rebounds. Lots of turnovers due to his tunnel vision. 26% 3 point shooter, .480TS%. He's terrible. Really.

I guess we just disagree. His basketball IQ and court awareness were two of the things I noticed about him immediately when watching him at Syracuse. A lot of the great players can see plays developing before others see them. He could see how to make plays develop before they even started. He's got a special basketball mind. He just needs to harness everything. Once they add some actual basketball players to that roster, I think people will be really surprised at just how good he is.

People act like his numbers were only high because of his usage, but his usage rate was only 30th in the league, and Philly's pace was only a little bit higher than teams like the Clippers, Thunder, Blazers, Suns, Warriors, Rockets, and T'Wolves, but nobody questions guys on those teams that had higher usage rates even though they have more talent around them to inflate their stats.

If we had MCW on this team and he played the way he did for Philly this year, we'd be ecstatic.

DANTE EXUM ISN'T A TOP PICK BECAUSE OF ANYTHING THAT HAPPENED IN AUSTRALIA OR IN ANY HIGH SCHOOL COMPETITION.

FFS pay attention.

There's only so many times I can read guys posting a slab of rubbish demonstrating that they know absolutely nothing about him then go on to say that he isn't as good as any of the other options.

We're just going to disagree. IQ/court awareness and decision making are IMO the things MCW struggled with more than anything at Syracuse. You think he's special in those areas I think he's not good. We're simply oceans apart in how we view those things.

Should be entertaining. I'm all but convinced that the Bucks will take whomever remains between Embiid and Parker. I think Exum is third on their board. Of the consensus top 4, I think Wiggins probably scares GM's more than the other three. I wouldn't be surprised to see him slide to 4. Philly could do well by taking Exum and then picking up TJ Warren at 10. Orlando, imo, would then decide between Wiggins and Smart.

Yes. I don't think Knight is even close to MCW, and MCW was a rookie this year.
