I think Wiggins can be great and I like Parker's chances too. Both of them are high-level prospects in my opinion. I don't think this would be a case of settling for someone inferior. You're passing on talent with (in my opinion) significant risk for talent with no risk of that kind. Easy call for me and like I said, if I'm wrong I can live with it because I believe I made the most prudent decision at the time given all the factors involved.

Re: If you could tell Lasry and Edens one thing tonight.....
No prospect goes without risk. Each of the top 4 comes with their own question marks. I see a lot of people around here get so focused on one of them that it makes them scream "DON'T DRAFT THIS PERSON!". The way I feel, there are 4 great prospects in this class and we should be thrilled to get any one of them. Anyone who thinks they have an idea who is going to "bust" out of those 4 is trying too hard to play scout or they just want to be able to have something to stroke when this thread undoubtedly gets bumped years from now.
Embiid has the obvious back injury history and just started playing, Jabari was overweight and played out of position in college, Wiggins lacks a motor/ballhandling issues, Exum played against "inferior competition".

I won't be distraught by any means if the Bucks draft Embiid.
I will, however, be constantly worrying about when the other shoe's gonna drop. And that will definitely suck.
But as I've said I'm not ignoring the talent. If he can stay healthy, avoid further injury and realize his potential he's going to be a terrific player.

I definitely agree that if we draft Embiid there will be a small part of me that's going to be constantly worried about his back. Hopefully after some workouts, maybe a physical, and some interviews we will have enough to be able to decide whether or not it's going to be an issue.

If you put Embiid, Wiggins and Parker all on the same level as prospects, then I can see where you are coming from. I disagree and I think Embiid is the best prospect in this draft by a pretty big margin. But that's an entirely different argument.

Yup, it comes down to how you rate those three guys. If there were no injury issues whatsoever I'd rank them 1. Embiid. 2. Wiggins. 3. Parker. But given the current situation I have Wiggins clearly at the top of my list all alone in his tier with Parker all alone on the next tier. Embiid is on the third tier for me with Exum. I just can't ignore the injury issue for a guy who plays a position where so many players routinely get hurt during their NBA careers. That's a gigantic red flag for me.

Encourage them to go look at some tapes of the FTD playoffs and 2001 playoffs at the BC. Let them know what the fans will do if the team is competitive.

Re: If you could tell Lasry and Edens one thing tonight.....
I think I would avoid anything that comes across as "you should do this", because I'm sure everyone will be coming up and giving their opinion on who to draft, who to hire, who to trade for. I think showing that we're behind their vision for the team and maybe sharing some insight about our experiences as Bucks fans over the past couple decades will have more of an impact. No harm in saying you like Wiggins or don't like Larry Drew in passing, but I personally wouldn't make that my main reason for talking to them.

Make Hammond work with MBBOT on this franchise saving draft. He will know who to pick at 2 and how to package 36 with Ersan to get a late 1st.

It is curious why they don't plan in the State's 2nd largest market unless it has something to do no beer sales and/or don't think a college town is interested. I'm surprised they still come to Green Bay to be honest. I've been going the last couple years and they're lucky to fill half of the Resch. And last year more people were worried about talking to Aaron Rodgers than anything. But I guess its the only venue big enough this direction to play in. They still go to La Crosse too don't they?

I would give them the link to this forum and ask them to read and review it daily in order to achieve both a product that the fans desire as well as a competent front office. Go figure they go hand in hand.

Doesn't seem cricket to give your words a post mortem, but here goes:
Surprised that the sale news didn't draw you here sooner. For me it was a last-minute reprieve after decades on death row. Big happy ending. I'd promised myself 45 years of being a Bucks fan was coming to an end (at least a deactivation pending change) if they had gone into next season with the status quo. Admittedly, it's way too soon to know what we have. But to me any risk is worth it if it brings change, at the top.
I see no reason not to indulge in hope. Think Herb Kohl (and associates) has done a top-flight job of transitioning the team. Team ownership seems to have everything that seemed sadly missing a couple months ago. It's taking shape as remarkable.
I was confident that would happen right away. Fresh faces for a fresh start. Let the broad coverage of the sale help establish a brand new image for the team in the general public's mind. Now that they own the team, I didn't think they'd be looking around for management talent (GM, Coach, et al). I thought that crew would be in place behind the scenes. I thought billionaires didn't commit 2/3 of a billion without knowing exactly what was going to happen. Without silent planning and commitments.
But they are handling it quite differently. Maybe they have chosen a gradual explosion rather than a big initial bang. Maybe Kohl asked them to keep his beloved people for a while -- a favor from buyer to seller. Maybe they judge the current staff as more competent than we do. There's a story here, but it seems probable we'll never hear it.
To be on topic, if the Dynamic Duo are willing to comment on this area of things, I'll be very interested to hear what they say.
I haven't been around much either Chuck.

Not much I can probably add. I like the new owners and I think it bodes well for the future.

To me, cementing the Bucks' position as a team with relevancy again would be to fire Hammond, Morway, Drew and everyone connected to the primary personnel and coaching decisions.

After a four-year hiatus, the Milwaukee Bucks are returning to the La Crosse Center for a preseason game.
Milwaukee will face the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday, Oct. 18, in one of four in-state preseason games. Tickets will go on sale Aug. 17.
“They are very receptive,”
La Crosse Center Director Art Fahey said of the Bucks when it comes to listening to offers to play in the 6,000-plus seat La Crosse Center.
“We have had the Chicago Bulls here and that sold out. We had a nice crowd here for Dallas four years ago. They know La Crosse can be a good place to come.”
Not huge numbers, but 6,000 for a pre-season game is respectable.

What would I tell them?
1. Big Board should be in this order...
Embiid (pending full physical by Milwaukee Docs, if not, he's off the board)
Parker
Wiggins
Exum
2. Go with any of these uniform choices (THEY NEED TO SEE THESE!)

They are well aware. You don't drop half a $B without doing your homework.
They were Bucks fans in the 70s when Alcindor was here, and they've been to recent games at Lambeau. They cited the Brewers great attendance in their sale press conference. They know the Wisconsin fan base gets behind a winner in a big way.

Yeah, I would def give them the uniform pictures.
Especially those first ones, the green on green. Those would be the best uni's in the NBA.
