On the bright side, if he hits we are one of the most frightening teams ever assembled

I agree. It will be interesting to see him develop because he's amazingly thin. I'm not sure how big he can actually get.

Whatever happens he's going to rubbish next season if he plays so that'll be entertainment for the board.

I'm just not sure and feel weird and scared but MOAR AUSSIES! WELCOME BACK PAUL.

Thon is so intruiging and Hammond is enamored so I'm with it

I guess bag night #3 is in order.

I was one of his few supporters in the draft threads. Would have gone Davis there and been very happy, but we're sitting here pushing chips. Smart, hard worker, high motor, good communicator (which we really lack), wants to be an anchor, think he'll be a good player, with considerably more upside. Can't complain.

Wow, can't believe it. I'll admit, when I heard the name Thon Maker, I said "Are you **** me?" But within 5 minutes, I'm already intrigued and a Thon Maker fan.

When you have the chance to draft a 23 year old who looked mediocre against high school kids, you need to take it.

For me personally, Thon and Skal were the two most exciting picks we could've made. I'm legitimately excited now. Of course, it very well may not work, but as I've said in other posts: the tools are undeniable and you add that to the motor and desire - I'm willing to take the chance. Especially in a draft where everyone wants to move out of the mid-first.

Hammond

I'm excited. Davis never excited me as I saw him as Henson 2.0

I was one of the few who voted for him in that thread. I figure swing for the fences because I don't want average.

Go for Georgios Papagiannis in the 2nd and get really weird now.

I buy the Schwartz stuff generally speaking but not here. This screams John Hammond. Though it probably made it easier for John to convince Kidd to get on board.
