Probably the main reason we don't have the Big 3 team is that they won 50 games and reached the ECF one time and there are only, what, 16 teams? They'd be on the bubble if you restricted to just the 00s.

Henning blocked me yesterday because he earnestly asked 2K to include that Bucks team and I laughed like a bastard.

He blocked me for not believing (correctly) that Thon is 19.

Haha the "like a bastard" part is probably what did it. But yeah, they wouldn't even be in the top 2 Bucks cores. It would be like a Wizards/Bullets fan lobbying for peak Arenas.

I loved that team, but yep.

You know that they added the 11-12 Knicks right?

Giannis

Pressey
Jonny Mac
Redd
Pierce
JENNINGS

Big Dog, Marques, Winters, Bridgeman, Cassell all out. Jennings over Cassell would be my biggest problem and everyone else's, I'd guess, but I think Marques not making it is pretty inexcusable.

Was a good idea by 2k to do this but they should've gotten everyone or scrapped it. Some of the teams are a joke.

Big 3 Bucks team would be super fun for Bucks fans my age. Understandably that is not a huge demographic.

People freaking out about the inclusion of the Linsanity team need to chill, its just a fun team they threw in for Knicks and Lin fans, not any kind of validation of anything else.

Now that I think about it, video game Glenn Robinson would kind of suck.. low dunk rating, low dribble rating, high turnover rating, great spurts of midrange dominance.

Marques confirmed on twitter that he was not approached by 2k.

Man, if this were a post-career accomplishment list, Sid would be undeniable 1st team for his work as announcer.

This is tied for my favorite announcing moment of all time with the time Madden sawed a turducken apart with his hand.

I concur with the three of you. People overrate that team severely. For many people it was the first time the Bucks were good that they actively paid attention on a regular basis. Even if you did pay attention, over the years, it was much, much harder to watch games in the era that the Bucks had previously been good in. That plays a big role in how people overrate the 2001 team

Wanting the 2001 team included in a game with over 50 retro teams is not necessarily overrating them or a public statement on their greatness. It was just a really fun team with decent coaching and good young offensive talent. Not sure it warrants blowback. I bet you guys think Chipotle, amazon prime, and toddler laughter are overrated too.
