An Achilles can be diagnosed really easily. You can test it on yourself if you can relax well.

Rest your lower leg on your opposite knee, like your leg is crossed. Squeeze your calf, and the foot will move down. If the Achilles is gone it won't move down. Generally athlete will describe it like someone hit them hard on the low calf. They'll often swing around looking for someone to give one back to. Sometimes you can hear it-will get described as a 'gunshot'.

MRI will be to see how far it's retracted.

Either way he's getting surgery and his game will never be the same. Horrible for him.

If those stats are true, that's horribly depressing. I did really want to see playoff Boogie.

I think NO probably still offers him the max and hopes like hell he makes a full recovery. If they let him walk they are really limited in what else they can do to improve their roster around Davis. They are kind of backed into a corner on this and if the gamble fails it may lead to Davis being dealt and that team burnt to the ground.

I think he'll still have some suitors in FA but it probably knocks off a few teams who already had concerns about boogies attitude and this will push them over the edge and out on him.
