Italy just updated it's reported number of COVID-19 deaths from 100 something to 800 something in 24 hours. We're trying to prevent that from happening here. Don't be a Gobert.

Yes, 38 are dead in the US so far, and we don't somehow have better immune systems than the people who got it earlier, that are dying at exponentially higher rates in other countries. American exceptionalism at its finest. The world doesn't revolve around us, we are just a part of it.

Fear mongering is when companies make money.

The NBA is making money not playing games. Italy isn't making money locking down the country.

Also want to point out, a delayed playoff with a modified play in would allow Zion, KD, Curry, Klay, and Kyrie all play.

And it can be passed on without symptoms, and there is no vaccine, and there is no known anti-viral that is effective. Same as flu though!

So far it doesn’t seem to be a major “killer”, but it’s highly contagious and has a pretty significant mortality rate for the elderly. It’s about containment to prevent overwhelming our hospitals at this point. Sucks but it has to be done.
