That sets up Middleton for his greatest series ever, where he averages 35 ppg and wins finals MVP, but he gives the trophy to Giannis.
Have you always been the most positive person here or did it start yesterday?
Not the most positive guy here, but not a doomer and gloomer like many on here. I just can’t stand the negativity now that we’re so close. We went through so many bad years under Kohl. I’m going to enjoy late playoff basketball while we have it.
Plus, it just feels like our year. Can’t really explain it, but when we somehow pulled off that Brooklyn series, it just felt like destiny.
I feel ya man, we just gotta win 2 of 3 with HCA with their guys banged up too. It’s not impossible, we’re so close.
The way Giannis hyperextended his knee didn’t look devastating on its own i thought, we may have really dodged a bullet

This might be just enough hope for the players to play out of their mind. Even if he doesn't come back, the possibility that he does could do wonders for team morale.

Re: Giannis - No Structural Damage
A straight forced hyperextension is unusual. Seeing Embiid and Giannis both do it in a fairly short period of time is also pretty unusual.
I'm stoked.
I'm stoked.

Giannis is done for at least 1 year. He's not playing next year and hopefully will be able to play the following, but he will never be the same explosive player. The problem is, that's all he really has. After his athleticism is gone, you've got a non shooting big that has lost his step.
As a Buck's fan, you just have to realize this team is cursed and move on. I've waited my whole 49 years of life to see a Buck's championship and after tonight, I'm hanging up the hope and moving on. Just not worth the time and heartache to continue to follow this team.

God that was unbelievable!

Re: Giannis - No Structural Damage
I realize it's popular to say "Giannis game is entirely predicated on his athleticism", but I really think it's *more* about his combination of length and ball-handling. Being ambidextrous with his stride length is the main problem he poses. As his skill level continues to grow, he's going to win off the dribble more even as he slows down physically.

No way he plays game 5. I could see them getting desperate and playing him in game 6 if we lose game 5, but that wouldn’t be smart.

I just don’t see how he plays. I’d cringe with the first euro step that his leg falls off

We watched our PG 15 years ago just about permanently paralyze himself. I mentioned it in the other thread, but that even more than Bogut stands out to me and always will. I still wonder what if - was never convinced he was the same player after that.

I understand.

But some of the posts are simply too triggering when you are waiting for this kind of news to come out. I couldn't sleep at all last night. I come here to see whats up and the first post I read was the one I posted above.
I learnt my lesson now. On terrible bucks nights and we have 5-6 each season, I will keep my distance from the board.

There’s no way you can justify playing Giannis in game 5 or 6. Too soon. If anything were to happen, we’d never ever forgive the coaching staff.

I think you gotta say Giannis is questionable even as a decoy, I’d be shocked if he play and maybe even a couple minutes to rally the team and fans. This series, this season isn’t over!

I still don't think we're gonna see him for the rest of the playoffs, but you guys are **** crazy if you think they should shut him down just as a precaution. If he has even a chance of playing in the NBA FINALS then you do everything you can to keep that option open. Who knows if we'll ever be in this situation ever again.
