This is a great pick. I see great things happening for him.

Thankfully, no. MarJon will shoot.

Go be miserable somewhere else.

I'm just joshin' around. I don't hate the pick, I just don't see why you don't take the guy who is similar, but currently better and could contribute, versus a project.

Turk Nowitzki wrote:We had game threads full of people bitching at Bud to get our floor spacer Grayson Allen out of the game because he couldn't defend in the playoffs. So of course as soon as we draft a guy who projects as a potential plus defender people are bitching that we didn't draft a floor spacer.

We had game threads full of people bitching at Bud to get our floor spacer Grayson Allen out of the game because he couldn't defend and he was shooting 28% from deep. You left out the important part.

It's not breaking news many want to add shooting. We struggled bad.

21 and still learning to play is another redflag, does he have the excuse of picking up the game at 16-17? I think DJ was 21…

Awful pick. Why would the Bucks do this?

Matches Malone wrote:I don't think his shooting is as bad as advertised. He shot the ball well in college (I know the talent level was weak) and only played in 12 g league games so small sample size. If he can be average from deep, that's a big win.

Closer to 30 GLeague games but the sample size is larger in college FWIW. I think dating back to high school he’s around 32-33% from 3. He was more of a mid-range scorer growing up.

If you want to get hopeful about the offense, you can get some Giannis Greek league quality film from his community college games where he looked like a promising shot creator.

I need to set a reminder to check my list in 12 months and see how good of a scout I am.

First impression is that his build reminds me of Henson

I know I’m going to see this thread reference in four years so I’m going to leave my usual response. I’m not an educated basketball mind with unlimited time to study film so I hope this player will become a productive member of our team. I’ll wait to see how he looks in summer league.

I mean, look, the pick is whatever, but there were guys who were on the board who probably contribute a lot sooner than Beauchamp, which is what we need. Moore, Liddel, Washington. I don't know, maybe my talent evaluation is way off, but this kid is a project.
