Felt good to wake up to a really good result. Bud years are back baby.

The line up that is Giannis and 4 bench dudes doesn't work at all. Midds coming back should be a big help there if Doc is smart.

Man, you anti-Beas guys just can’t swallow your pride and take the L, can you?

Also, turns out the “Pat isn’t an NBA player anymore” board hyperbole was always just that. Amazing what even baseline competent level coaching can do.

He'll get a good contract but not from the Bucks I guess. So it's better if ShootingTheJ is right next year when he's on another team.

Missed the game but how many times did we get a Hubie "whoa, whoa, whoa?!" on a Giannis drive?

Pat is a wait and see. One game doesn’t undo the last year

I'm in full agreement about Beas. As long as he shoots 75% from 3, he's playable despite his inability to do everything else at an NBA level.

Not sure how anyone can watch the games and think he’s a bad overall defender. He knows how to use his length and is very smart about knowing where to be and how to get in the passing lanes.

He’s probably below average now in ISO D because he’s lost a ton of lateral quickness with all the injuries (pre-Achilles Midds was an advanced stat darling on D) but with Giannis and Brook behind him, that’s not a huge deal.

No one ever said he was great on D either is midds or dame our weak link on D was AG not beas

Stats show shooters still miss when shooting over Mids. Despite his lack of speed he remains a competitive defender.

This. He’s a smart defender who knows where to be and how to use his length despite being very slow laterally at this point in his career.

Probably a bad time to bring up how many times this year I paused the tv and noted KM nowhere near any offensive player... we can maybe blame it on AGs coaching... I'll try the game again with Doc and see who wins

Yeah, arguing about Beas when he won't be on the team next year and you don't have any better options right now is kind of pointless.

I totally believe you couldn't find Khris, because I'm pretty sure you could pick him out of a lineup.

Pat's drive from the corner and dish to Giannis for the bunny was a thing of beauty.

If you knew in advance that Jrue was going to the Celtics would you still do the Dame trade?

We were never winning another championship with Jrue, he had to go. Even better we got Dame.

There's a large sample size on Jrue now that his shooting doesn't sustain when the playoffs come around, the offense slows down and the half-court execution becomes more important. Maybe this is the year he kicks that trend (and it wouldn't surprise me for the Celtics to get lucky that way) but I'm still taking Dame's offense this time around.

Post-Griffin firing Dame/Giannis/Brook lineups in the last month are still at a +25.7 net rating in 228 minutes, best 3-man lineup in the league w/ 150+ min in that timeframe (202 lineups total).

If you get roughly the same version of Khris that we got from December through the Suns game where he got undercut (**** KD), and can infuse his shooting/playmaking into some of the trashy bench units, sheesh.
