Like Crowder, Delon Wright, and many others......we sign these players about 3-5 years too late.

I wasn't assuming Prince would start either. Yep, Andre has a leap to make for sure. Let's all hope the starting 2g isn't on the roster yet.

SG: Green, Wright, Jackson
SF: Middleton, PC, Prince, Beauchamp, Livingston

I know you all like to trash talk on Beasley ... we all know he didn't like to play D that much ... BUT you all forget what he did for us at the start of our previous season when Khris was out and Lillard was on a divorce hangover ... He literally was a Khris replacement ... on a minimum contract. He fought his a$s of to get that starting SG role. He even played some D ... his elite 3p shooting on high volume bailed us out and won us alot of games early in the season ... Then Khris comes back, chemistry disappears, then Coach changes, then Giannis plays injured and here we are again, a 1st round exit team.

I don't like people that talk $h/× on minimum salaries players. Beas was not our problem last season.

If Doc doesn't treat AJ Green as JJ Redick ... I will riot ... stop this madness, make some sets for our shooters to get them going ... Giannis throwing super fast passes on his teammates ankles or over their head that takes centuries to gather is not "setting up your snipers"

Last 2 players to leave the Lakers and sign a vet minimum with us worked out well (Wes & Beasley).
still learning the game

I really disagree with this. Jackson Jr seems ideal for the type of player that fits perfectly on offense and defense. On offense he’s not a good shooter but he can be elite in the dunker spot in our system. We have enough shooters, we need cutting, slashing and drawing smaller defenders to the dunker spot so there’s less rim protection. Andre just needs to become a strong enough shooter you can’t let a center matchup on him and leave him roam free on the perimeter. But he’s 6’6” with a 6’9”/6’10” wingspan, athletic and a smart player, he’s just out of control at times. I’m becoming more convinced he can be the guy. It makes sense.

If we do get Gary Trent jr or someone like that then obviously Doc and Horst may feel differently than I do about Andre Jackson Jr but the theory is there so it’s up to the lab results now.

Beasley was a massive problem. Played in 79 games, with 77 starts, played 29.6 minutes per game, yet amassed just .1 VORP despite playing in a dream role. Useless player who shouldn't have played or been signed.

Beasley was signed to be the scoring guard alongside Drew defending POA. Arguably he could be passable in that role. But soon after the improbable trade of Dame materialized and we got stuck with him.
We tried to put lipstick on that pig but despite his early efforts he could not transform to a POA defender.
He is flawed as most players in his price range, but we asked him to perform over his abilities. Don't burn him too much.

If you are a VORP fan, your going to love Prince's -0.4 VORP last year.

Yeah he's not a savior. His career long refusal to grab a rebound is part of this, but the biggest culprit is the outsized role he had as his teams stopper, which he won't be asked to do here. In a normal role his impact stats normalize.

Maybe he was brought in to play next to drew but when he was traded and we had Dame instead that’s when the coaching staff needed to adjust and not start him next to dame he would have been best used as a 3 pt shooter off the bench not to guard the best offensive guards. Not playing the green or Ajax more just stunted their growth as players too.

Prince/Wright is essentially the same problem as Beasley/Crowder. If you're asking one of these guys to start and both to play prominent roles then we're probably in trouble.

Ok signing but let's hope Horst has something else brewing.
