I would argue that Tyty, Rollins, Galloway, Badji, & Besson despite on being on the roster are atleast somewhat interesting because there is a plausible pathway to them playing minutes on the regular season roster in some form or another. I can't really say that about the rest of the roster or guys we previously had playing summer league like Nico Mannion, Craig Randall, etc.

The same front office who put those groups together did so this one as well. They typically struggle on the margins.

I remember some enthusiasm towards Drew Timme, Omari Moore, RayJon Tucker. There's going to be recency bias.

I'd be tickled if we had snagged PJ Hall & had another AJ Green in the pipeline, in addition to the picks. But we don't. Instead we got a no-name undrafted guy, a couple alright G-league performers, a couple fringy NBA players, etc. Pretty standard for us.

Omari Moore was atleast intruiging(some wanted him drafted in the 2nd round last year) and then we quickly found out he wasn't very good but he was atleast interesting. I'm not sure what you expect for guys 6-10 on a Summer League roster but for me, guys who atleast have a plausible pathway to being a regular season player for the Bucks is more interesting then some random dude who is just there to chuck up a million shots.

For whatever reason, this post-draft recruitment doesn't seem to be a strength. AJ Green's an anomaly, & he was more a diamond in the rough, development type.

Maybe Jalen Lewis is a diamond in the rough who just went thru the motions at OT Elite (which is a yellow flag in and of itself). But he wasn't a top 100 prospect guy around the draft, understandably.

BTW, it's weird that Umude isn't even on the team. He would have been the most interesting of the non-picks.

Strawther & Holmes were 1st round picks. Pickett & Tyson were 2nd rounders. Hall & Alexander are two way guys. I'm not sure anyone else on their roster would classify as interesting.

I’d be shocked if it wasn’t in play considering the Dame relationship. I’m sure we’re in the mix but some other rebuilding team or contender can offer him more money.

There’s a clear need at shooting guard though and he’d be guaranteed a starting spot.

Even though Malik didn’t get that much of a pay raise, I think we proved that we can be a team that builds up value because of our desperation for a quality 5th starter.

Getting GTJ on a minimum would be huge for the team, warts and all.

I like the rookies they drafted and I'm excited to see them play this weekend. As of right now we don't really have a wild card option that could raise the team's ceiling/floor. Who knows? maybe one or both of them get its immediately and is able to play.

Currently we're banking on two min guys and improvement from meh younger players to patch up pretty large holes.

What huge holes do they currently have on their roster? Wright can be our starting SG if we cannot add anyone else. As is, we are already a 50-55 win team if we can avoid major injuries to our big 3.

We won 49 games with largely the same roster last season and had pretty damn good health out of Giannis, Dame, Brook, Bobby, etc, etc. pretty much everyone but Khris. Are we expecting him to play a lot more games this year?

The Bucks also played .500 ball for a 30 game stretch after acquiring Doc Rivers. They're not a good defensive team which hasnt been addressed this off-season. It's like some of you guys have wiped last season from your memory cards.

I would argue having Middleton playing 25-30mpg alone should get us 3-5 more wins.

I'm also not sure why you think we haven't improved defensively this offseason when we replaced Beasley and Crowder with Wright and Prince. That's a significant upgrade defensively without factoring in any improvement from our 3 young wings or the under the radar signing of Umude.

I'm not gonna talk you down from the high that you're on. I'll just say we disagree on the definition of "significant upgrades" and on the potential impact of internal development.

Middleton's a complete guess and Umade is a guy on a two way.
