Re: Gary Trent Jr. signs with the Bucks - one year
Gotta think the recruitment process was showing tape of Malik Beasley hitting open 3s and saying " You're better than this guy, right? If you think you can make open practice jumpshots you will put up numbers here and get paid. Sign here."

I'll take 3 upgrades on a contender for vet minimums, especially when one of them can start. Excellent.

I wonder if we have 1 trade in us to get to Boston level... that being said, "run it back," looks better now than yesterday

Prob no excuse not to be a 55-60 game RS winner now that you can slot in Trent for 35 MPG when Khris is out outside unforeseen injuries

Re: Gary Trent Jr. signs with the Bucks - one year
best sg weve had since brogdon?
outstanding offseason!
truly unexpected to add the talent we did without sending anything out. i was hoping maybe bev back but the 3 we brought in clearly is why we moved on. we were thinking bigger and delivered right on down the line

I don't think these are clear upgrades. I thought Bev played pretty well for us, and we know he can be in a playoff rotation. As bad as Crowder was for us, I'm not convinced Prince is any better, just different. Trent should be better all around than Beasley, but Beasley shot the ball really well for most of the season.
Moving the needle will require moving some combination of Bobby/Brook/Pat/Middleton but obviously that entails a large risk of moving the needle in the wrong direction.
I doubt Delon is going to be much of an upgrade to Bev, but the other 2 are definite upgrades.
I don't know. Maybe marginal upgrades but words like "clear" and "definite" are where you lose me. Prince is not a defender. Raptors fans seem to think Trent doesn't do much outside of shooting, which sounds an awful lot like Beasley. Wright can clearly defend, but he's been a journeyman for quite a while now.

Even with Toronto's garbage spacing, Trent shot 43% on 4.5 attempts per game on catch and shoot 3's. He's gonna feast.

Raptors fans were watching a 25 win team with no aspirations, dude isn't going to defend playing next to Gradey Dick like he would on a contender. If Trent doesn't defend here then he will be a vet min guy for the rest of his career. He's had full seasons as a positive defender so that's just sour grapes to me, and is obviously better than Beasley if you watch 3 mins of defensive highlights. Jae Crowder was done last year, we all saw it.
Bev is the only one you can argue

I think he’s shot over 40% on C&S jumpers each of the last 5 years. He’ll probably average more points than brook.

A star recruited a player to come to Milwaukee. What a world.

TBH i thought they were upper 50s low 60 win team last year and if the big 3 played together more than 13xs i think they easily win 57 to 60 games

Re: Gary Trent Jr. signs with the Bucks - one year
Last year was the perfect storm where we were getting offense heavy guys (Beas/Payne) to fill in around our defenders.. but had to then send 2 - 3 and D guys away to pair Dame and GA... well now we are getting our 3 and D guys back and this GTJ cat is electric.

It's just hard to win 60 when you're relying on 3 dudes who don't really care about the regular season. Plus we are missing the RS god Bud now. Think our floor is like 53 this year just because big 3 prob miss around 50 games combined

Even before Trent I've been pretty adamant that a healthy Bucks can hang with any team, so I agree that the talent level is crazy high right now. Old team though so injuries/rest have to be a given
