The one positive from this game is we found out Novak does a pretty good Mutumbo impersonation. He should stick with that voice full time.

I did think that Ryan Rollins & Stanley Umude played well, especially for 2way guys. Pasečņiks had a solid night too and might have saved his job for the time being.

Remember, AJJ and TSmith were taken in the draft by Horst to spite the Bucks for denying him to interview for the Detroit POBO job.

I see no scenario where all of MarJon, Ajax, and Livingston are Bucks after this season.

Doc gave the rookies some burn. He’ll drive them to Oshkosh himself when they get back to Milwaukee. AJ Johnson has so much to clean up in his game. Hopefully his year long stint with the Herd develops him.

I really don’t see it with Tyler Smith. Soft bigs who can’t find a scoring niche are not real NBA caliber players. Like AJ Johnson, maybe his time with the Herd can help him.

I’ve been optimistic about Green but he’s been BAD in this preseason.

I’m sure Green (maybe Ajax) will look better with the top guys but time will tell.

I owe Pat Connaughton an apology. He’s definitely in the rotation over all these guys.

OK, are there examples of players who shot 17% in the preseason and then became good players? Please share. I'd love to hear something positive.

Meanwhile, defensive dynamo Ryan Dunn is shooting 44% from 3.

Agree, Umude and Rollins are our 11th and 12th best players.

You see the gap between Pat and Green NBA players. Pat actually has feel & skill.
I'll go on record. I'm still thinking he will be in the rotation this year.

I think Tyler Smith is going to be a 3 point shooter in the league if he can stay on the court. Giannis compared him to Chris Bosh which I don't see but he could be a sniper with size. His shot looks good.

AJJ plays like a 19-year-old. He could end up being (pre-injury) Shawn Livingston-lite, MCW or Jiri Welsch.

Wemby is shooting like 30% in preseason this year and I’m not sure if he’s hit a 3 yet

I think he will be fine

Weird that this game was on national TV. I saw it and thought "did the regular season start?"

Wemby is shooting just 33%, but in only 2 games and 21 attepts. Yet you realize that that's still roughly twice as good as AJJ? Also, it's hard to compare 21 attepts to the guy with 19 straight misses.

To be confident that AJJ will be good soon, you have to believe that Horst successfully executed a draft pick. I just can't get there.

Maybe when he's 23 or 24, but he's not even close now.

I doubt he shoots 38% from the floor this year. Not in the NBA, I mean in the G League.

Game stunk. They played everyone but Luka and we sat 5 of our top 6 guys. Watching AJJ play against Kyrie Irving was some real cold water on any excitement I had about the kid seeing NBA minutes. Kyrie could have put up 80 and had 20 steals. Not worried about it in the regular season. I think GTJ is a great fit for what we want, same with Prince. Not sure what Doc's plan with Delon Wright is yet.

Mate, I think you'll find there's actually something in the Bucks' trophy cabinet.

And if Wemby is roughly twice as good as AJJ I think that is more than fine.

It’s preseason basketball. Much like Summer League it is completely meaningless. I think Wemby will shoot better than 30% from the field and 9% from the 3 point line this season just as much as I think AJJ will shoot above 17%. Two and five game sample sizes are so small.
